Christian Wurst joins Motonica for 2009

Christian Wurst has moved to Motonica for the 2009 season. The former European ‘B’ Champion joins Motonica Team Germany with Joerg and Uwe Baldes who are racing for the Italian brand since 2007. Wurst as well as the Baldes brothers are concentrating on the challenging Western German Championship and also some international races. Christian Wurst and Uwe Baldes will compete in the 2009 European Championship ‘B’ held in Cassino in Italy at the end of May, with the Motonica of Wurst powered by JP engines while Uwe Baldes continues with Team Orion CRF power and Jörg with Novarossi/Rex engines. During difficult weather conditions Christian Wurst gave Motonica´s all new P81 chassis a promising debut during round 3 of the 2008/2009 Western German Championship last weekend at Dormagen near Cologne. “The car feels fine from the beginning with lots of steering and a good overall car balance”, said Christian who managed to win the semi final but retired early in the final after spinning into the concrete wall. Uwe Baldes, who like Joerg still used the predessecor P8.0R in the race because of the weather, was also reporting about a positive first impression following his first laps with the P81 after the race on the Dormagen track.

K-Factory TM E4 Steering crank

K-Factory TM E4 Steering crank

K-Factory have released a new steering crank set for the Team Magic E4. Whilst the standard nylon components are reliable and durable, they reckon that CNC machined 7075 lightweight hard coated aluminium is better. What matters is the accurate transfer of servo motion to the wheels and a light, rigid material will perform better than a malleable one where energy is being transferred. The mounting point of the steering arms to the steering bell use inserts with offset holes, allowing for quick and easy Ackermann adjustment.

Xray LiPo balancing chassis weights

Xray LiPo balancing chassis weights

More new items from Xray who have released this set of LiPo balancing chassis weights. Due to the light weight of LiPo batteries, your car may not be perfectly balanced and so these new weights are developed to help balance the left and right sides of the car. The weights are situated in the center of the chassis to keep the weight in the center of the car for better reaction and roll. Batteries are moved outward so they can be more easily inserted and aluminium holders prevent batteries from coming out. Suitable for the T2’008, T2’009 and T2R PRO 6-cell chassis only.
