Kyosho 1-2-3 in the East Midlands Cup

Last Sunday saw the final round of the 10 round East Midlands Nitro Offroad Racing Championship. The championship is competed in and around the East Midlands area visiting each track twice in the year with 6 out of 10 rounds to count. Recent Kyosho signing Steven Bond received his Kyosho STRR Truggy days before the opening meeting and started off the series in the second round on the new Derby track with a TQ and Win. Following this by TQ and wins in rounds 3,4,6,7,8 and missing 3 rounds due to racing in the Truggy Nationals the Championship was won with a maximum score. With a National A final and finishing 15th overall in the UK Nationals followed by a 2nd in the Hongnor Cup Steven stated “I am more than satisfied with the STRR”.  The Kyosho reliability and superior handling also helped Tony Drabble and Dean Coupland to second and third to complete the Kyosho 1-2-3.

The rear control arms are finished, and full production graphite arms will be shipped to X Factory around Oct. 10th. The Team will be using production prototype rear shock towers and battery straps about the end of next week, so those items should be able to go into production on the 20th also. Work has also begun on the body mold, and they hope to have the prototype bodies about Oct 20 for photos and track testing. Pro-Line V3 Tires & Velocity wheels

Pro-Line have released the V3 versions of both the Bow-Tie and the Revolver, both of which are 4.6mm wider then standard versions. The added width adapts 1 more row of center lug Bow-Tie’s to the tire and 2 more rows of tread to the tire on the Revolver. Not only do the additional knobs create more traction but they also make the tire last longer. With the Bow Tie V3 the bumps seem to vanish as the additional center lug assist in keeping the car straight as you throttle out of corners and over those acceleration bumps, while with the Revolver V3 blue-groove tracks become increasingly easier to go the distance in those long mains or during those long practice sessions. To cater for the new tires, these Velocity V3 wheels are nearly 5mm wider than the V2 wheels, and they allow your buggy to transfer around corners more consistently and in a straighter line over the roughest parts of the track. The width of the wheel has been extended towards the inner part of the wheel, or center of the buggy, so track width integrity has been maintained.
