Losi L8ight Model Race Roller

Losi have introduced this 1/8-scale L8ight Model Race Roller, a professionally developed and tuned race roller designed specifically for dirt oval racing. With performance-enhanced features, such as dirt-oval-specific shock towers, big-bore oil-filled shocks, a molded front bumper, oversized body mounts, a Late Model-styled aerodynamic body and Losi/GRP dirt oval racing tires, the L8ight claims to offer superior quality when compared to the competition.

HongNor 2-piece Centre Diff mount

HongNor have released this 2 piece centre diff mount set, which is suitable for the company’s X1X buggy series. Designed for ease of maintenance, the set features an efficient off set brake cam design, while not having to use a centre post also saves weight. The set includes all necessary parts, and all the plastic pieces have been made with a high percentage fibre glass nylon for extra strength and durability.

Reckward Tuning Tourex buggy tires

Reckward Tuning from Germany have been in contact to let us know about their new line of 1/8th scale off-road tires, designed by their technical product designer Renato Vita. Set for a September release, these tires will be available in different profiles called X100,X200,X300 and X400 as well as in soft, medium and hard compounds. Available to buy seperately as rubber & insert foam together with special rims, later RT expect to release pre mounted versions as well as truggy tires by the end of the year.

Team Magic M8JS 1/8th scale buggy

Team Magic have released yet another variation of their 1/8th scale buggy, called the M8JS. Available for a low price, TM claim that you will not find a buggy with this quality and workmanship anywhere else for this money. Essentially the same buggy as their M1B, this version comes pre assembled, so you just need to put some radio gear and a power plant and then your ready to go.

Robert Raphael wins Belgian Nats Rd4

We received a brief report from the 4th round of the 1/8th scale Belgian off road national Championships that was run last weekend at the TT-Fays track. Ishima Racing team driver Robert Raphael took Pole position, as well as recording the fastest lap, on his way to the win. Robert was using the new Ishima Rave, together with Picco motors and Medial Pro tyres, and won from Mugen racer Cédric Nickel in 2nd and Jeremy Hanotiaux, racing an RC8, in 3rd.

Available in green, and featuring the Trion logo, the stands are available in 2 heights, a low version for touring car and also a taller version for off road cars. Supplied with foam strips for both the top and bottom of the stand, your car will not slide of the stand and the stand will not slide of your workbench.

Adam Drake wins JBRL Rd5

Thunder Alley R/C was the host to round 5 of the JBRL Nitro Series this past weekend. The event was very busy with many of the top US drivers in attendance trying to prepare for the IFMAR Worlds. The current IFMAR 1/8th World Champion Mark Pavidis was in attendance along with many other top drivers and when the dust settled from qualifying, it was the Losi 8ight racer Adam Drake that took the TQ by more thqn 3 seconds over HoBao’s Jeremy Kortz. The final was an exciting race with Losi’s Adam Drake and Kyosho’s Cody King, but just like round 4 of the JBRL it was Adam Drake that came out on top, with Cody King 2nd and Ryan Lutz 3rd.

HongNor X2 CRT lightweight chassis

HongNor have released this new lightweight chassis for their X2 CRT 1/8th scale truggy. CNC machined from 3mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, it has been hard coated for extra durability. Thanks to the combination of materials used and the strategic machining the chassis plate is 50 grams lighter than the standard X2 chassis plate.
