PSM Racing have released these new shock mounts for the GS Racing CLX chassis. Made from high grade aluminium and anodised blue, this set of 4 mounts, are super lightweight and very strong and are a direct replacement for the standard kit versions.

New for the CAT SX, Schumacher have released this optional shock layout modification. Developed by the Schumacher design engineers together with their race team, it has benefits for varying types of tracks, however is especially good on very bumpy ones and those with low traction. The set comes with all the parts required to reverse the shock position to mount on the rear of the wishbone and reduce the wheelbase by 6mm. This enables greater rear weight bias, a more angled rear driveshaft and a more rearward wing position. All these things give the car more rear traction, however at the expense of high speed steering on most surfaces. The new 4mm thick carbon fibre camber link bracket included in the pack also allows for multiple link length’s due to its alternate hole positions.

New from K-Factory for the Team Magic B8 chassis, is this aluminium centre chassis stiffener. Made from lightweight 7075 aluminium, the part has been machined hollow for extra weight less, yet retains its tensile strength. The part is mounted to the centre of the chassis plate around the centre differential and easily allows you to stiffen the overall chassis to suit different track conditions.

This past weekend saw the Landfill RC track in Puerto Rico play host to round 2 of the West Caribbean RC Pro Series. In 1/8th buggy it was Rafa Sabatier who took the win with his Mugen MBX6 fallowed by team mate Tory Santiago, while in 3rd spot was Kyosho’s Peter Alvarado. Rafa ran a flawless 1 hour main, while Santiago and Alvarado flamed out twice making it impossible to challenge Sabatier’s near perfect run. In the truggy class, Mugen Team Driver Tory Santiago took the win with his ‘out of the box’ MBX6T with 2nd place going to team mate Choto Mendez, while the final podium position going to Associated driver Jaime Negron.

The Hereford Micro Open is back for 2009 and will be held on Sunday 16th August at the clubs usual Bridge Street Sports Centre venue in Leominster, Herefordshire (HR6 8EA). The micro race of 2007/2008 and a good warm-up for the BRCA Micro Nationals series, the Hereford micro open has just got better and better, with last years track probably being the best the UK micro racers have ever seen. Always a large and very strong entry list so get your entries in early and book yourself a place to avoid disappointment. Both the 2WD and 4WD 18th scale micro off-road classes are supported running to the 2009 BRCA rules. Trophies will be presented for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each final, plus concourse and the team event. Chairs and mains power is available but you’ll need to bring along a table. The 3rd round of the combined Belgium / Dutch championship was held on recently on the clay track of MAC Vlijmen in the Netherlands. In 4WD it was Stefan Mesker who took home the trophy with his X5 Squared, closely followed by touring car ace Nick Joosens, who is really getting more and more used to driving his CAT over the jumps and bumps of the off-road tracks he now faces. Local hero Tom van Drunen took home a well deserved 3rd place with his B44.
Racers Edge have developed these new aluminium rear hubs to fit the Associated B4, B44, T4, and SC10. Based on the stock B44 4wd buggy hubs, they have a larger outside bearing for increased performance and bearing longevity, while a set screw holds the hingepin in place with access from the bottom. With four possible vertical ballstud locations for increased setup adjustments, these blocks are designed to add 1/2 degree rear toe in. Available in hard silver color, they have been CNC machined for accuracy, and laser engraved with degrees and L or R for left or right sides.

Answer-RC have released complete 1/10th bearing sets for the Associated B4 & B44 as well as X-Factory X-6. After much testing to find the best bearings for 1/10th scale Answer-RC are confident they have succeeded. All the bearings used in each of the sets use one rubber seal to keep the dirt out and one metal shield to maintain high rpm, while a special lubricant package help the free rotation of the quality ABEC 5 bearings.
