Sirio BK Evo4 STI - Spy Shots

Spotted this week on a new track near Milan, Italy was buggy driver Marco Grandesso and Mr. Rossi from Sirio, who were testing the company’s new buggy engine, the BK Evo4 STI. According to our source the new motor looked great on the track with super performance and amazing fuel consumption, this motor was getting 9 and a half minutes on a tank. Red RC will bring more news about Sirio’s complete engine new line up on Monday, until then you can view more pictures of the new BK Evo4 STI.

Zack Barry dominates Indoor ROC

Xray are reporting on the 2008 18th Scale Indoor Off-road Race of Champions that were held last Sunday at RC Madness in Enfield CT. This was the third year that this warm up race for the 18th Scale Off-road Nationals was held and attendance at the race was good with approximately 80 entries. Three rounds of qualifiers were run and then the mains and it was Zack Barry that finished the qualifiers with the TQ in all three classes entered, he also won every qualifier that he ran. Zack went on to win the A-mains in all 3 classes, winning by 2 full laps in each race.

The Venom Group have released their Voltage Forty-Fives, a high performance 1/8th scale buggy race tire. Featuring a wide 45mm contact patch and an asymmetrical 45 degree outside pin row design that allows you to tune your buggy for optimal traction depending on how the tire is mounted onto the wheel. The molded 45 degree pins save you countless hours of prep time usually spent trimming square pins to tune the tires. JConcepts Goose Bumps Tires

Joern Neumann wins Kyosho Indoor

Joern Neumann wins Kyosho Masters

Serpent have a report from their team driver Joern Neumann who was in action last weekend at the Kyosho International Indoor in Ostrava in the Czech Republic. The event was held in a large ice hockey arena with the surface made up of carpet and a kind of grass, which made tire choice very difficult. Following some tire tests, Joern found the correct balance and managed to win 3 of the 4 qualifiers to take the event TQ. Once through the semis, in which he drove most of the final in 2wd after a broken drive shaft, he was able to pull out a clear lead in the main final, winning by 2 laps from Kyosho driver Daniel Reckward in 2nd and Gerhardt Frank in 3rd.
