Atsushi Hara wins JMRCA Gas Buggy Nats

Former World Champion Touring car racer Atsushi Hara has won last weekends Japanese 1/8th scale gas buggy Nationals held in Chiba, close to Tokyo. The event had been affected by rain with Saturday’s running being cancelled and the results after Friday’s 2 rounds of qualifying being used, which gave Hara the TQ spot with his heavily modified HB Lightning 2 Pro. In the final no one could touch Hara and despite loosing the lead on lap 2, he was able to regain the lead 5 laps later and pull out a lead of 2 laps by the end of the hour, winning from 2nd placed Yuuichi Ajishi driving a Mugen and Takeshi Shinomiya taking 3rd with his Losi 8ight.

First up are these turbo double air filters, which are perfectly cut and are used with high-quality oil that protect your engine from dangerous dust particles. The air filter sets are available in 2 formats of 6 pieces with 45ml Air Filter oil, or 12 pieces with 90ml Air Filter oil. Also available seperately is the high quality air filter oil, which thanks to its colour allows you to see the saturation when applied. Finally, Robitronic have released some After Run oil that comes in both 45ml and 90ml and when put into the engine helps prevent the engine internals from rusting when not being used between races.

 Hickerson takes RC Pro Florida Series Finals

We have received word that CEN Racing team driver Gene ‘The Machine’ Hickerson has done it again taking yet another win, this time at the 2007 RC Pro Florida Nitro off road Series Finals. Hickerson won the Machine’s R/C Hobbies Expert Buggy A-Final from Mugen racer Jeff Keeton, while in third it was Sean Kersten racing for Kyosho.

Alberto García wins at Madrid Champs

 Alberto García wins at Madrid Champs

The final round of the Madrid 1/8th scale off road Championship, held on a very bumpy and technical track in Villanueva de la Torre, has been won by the current Spanish 2wd & 4wd National Electric buggy Champion Alberto García driving a Losi 8ight. García dominated the event by first taking the TQ, achieved the fastest lap time and then went on to win the race by a large margin of 6 laps in front of 2nd place Mugen driver Roberto G. Rodero, with another Mugen, that of Antonio Montes, 1 lap further back in 3rd.

Panther tires have released these T157 MT38 Series Gator tires which are designed to fit Losi 8ight T wheels as well as other 38 series wheels. Sold in both soft and medium soft compounds, they weigh in at 122g each and are 2.5″ wide and 5.5″ in diameter.

 Nir Sivan wins 2008 Israeli League Rd1

We received this report from the first race in the 2008 Israeli League for 1/8 scale buggy that took place last weekend at the Farm 07 race track near Ashdod. This was the first race of eight that are scheduled to be run in the 2008 Israeli Season with the 6 best out being counted. Top drivers all over the country, North and South participated the event and it was Yaniv Sivan that claimed the TQ after qualifying but a clutch problem in the Semis cause him to lose his place in the Final.

New Xray 1/8th Buggy?

New Xray 1/8th Buggy

Our partners Neo Buggy have gotten pictures of what looks like the new Xray 1/8th scale buggy from this weekends Nitro Cross race in the US. The most noticeable changes are the front and rear shock setup which is comparable to that on the Team Associated RC8. There have been rumours afloat that XRAY are working on a follow up to their XB8 which was launched in 2004.
