AKA Void 1:10 Offroad clay tyre

AKA has released it’s newest 1:10 Buggy slick tyre, the Void.  Best suited for indoor off-road clay tracks with very little dust on the surface, the slick design maximises the contact patch between the tire and track surface resulting in increased overall grip.  The Void carcass has been refined for better drivability and consistency.  For the first time, AKA has created a single front tire that can be used on either your 2WD or 4WD buggy.  The asymmetric front sidewalls also allow the user to choose how to mount the tire to the wheel: mount the stiffer sidewall to the outside of the buggy in high speed, high traction conditions to reduce the chance of the tire folding over and traction rolling, or use the softer sidewall to the outside for more aggressive steering. The stiffer sidewall can be easily identified by its unique lettering, instead of the industry standard raised lettering, the Void is debossed into the sidewall.  The V3 foams inserts are include and have been formulated to increase foam density resulting in a harder more durable foam while keeping weight at a minimum.  Void are currently available in AKA’s most popular 1:10 racing compounds: Clay and Medium Soft.

JConcepts ET410.2 S15 and F2 bodies

JConcepts has released its popular S15 and F2 bodyshells for Tekno’s ET410.2 1:8 electric Truggy.  The S15 body style (green colour scheme) is a staple in the line-up at JConcepts.  The cab is redesigned, going to single window S15 treatment, the opposing angular window layout blends into the mid sidepod winglet so famous with this design. The roof features the centre fin stabilising structure to strengthen the cab while also providing some stability in forward tracking ability. The bed of the body shell is a lowered area and features a deep draw with surrounding geometry to strengthen the rear of the section.  To escape out of the rear, a large ramping wing feature maintains rear stability while matching the look and intensity of the S15.  The F2 body (orange colour scheme) was constructed to perform at the highest level using the latest trend of reducing surface area above the shock tower line, reducing the overall weight while maintaining a tight silhouette.  The narrow shape, double upper railed cab with inner louvers are undeniable traits carried over to the new mini truggy performance body. The V-shape off the back of the cab is JConcepts fit, function, and styling from the get-go with a blend to recessed bed area for a low-slung base shape. A strategically placed spoiler outlet in the bed transitions to the mounting area.
