The 2016 British Short Course National Championship was held at various venues throughout the summer. Matt Owen would take the overall title in the 2WD class with three wins and a second place from Richard Miller in second and Darren Boyle in third.

The final round of the Polish Electric On-road Championship was recently held in Nowy Sącz on a newly built track and organised by the LOK. In the Touring Modified class it was Arkadiusz Smyk who took the overall TQ after winning three of the four qualifiers while teammate Michał Wójcik came in second. In the finals and coming out fastest in A2 and A3 Arkadiusz managed to take the overall win from Lukasz Mach while Michal Wojcik had to settle for third overall.

The final round of the Electro Challenge Slovenia was held in Benedikt on a purpose-built track and in several electric on-road classes. 13.5T Stock had, by far, the most entries. Jan Popič grasped the TQ position, followed by Jan Pernarčič and Patrik Požgaj. Jan also won the opening two A-finals to take the overall win with one leg to spare. Sitting out A3, Popič made way for Jan Pernarčič and Patrik Požgaj to battle for the overall runner-up spot with Pernarčič taking the win by a narrow 0.6s from Požgaj.

Hobbywing have introduced the new EzRun Max10 sensorless brushless speed controller and the EzRun 3652 and 3660 G2 sensorless brushless motors. Starting with the controller, designed for bashers and fun racing, the Max10 utilises a range of protection features such as ESC capacitor thermal, water and also over temperature protection for the motor – the latter is taken care off by an additional wire that plugs right into motors such as the new EzRun 36xx G2 series. Furthermore the controller makes use of a heavy duty 6V/7.4V BEC system andit sports a protected on/off switch to ensure reliability even in dusty conditions. The USVTA Nationals came to “Music City” Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the eighth year of this event. The race started off with open and controlled practice and with the new CRC black carpet and the extremely high traction, getting the vehicles not to traction roll became obligation number one for the drivers. Everything from gluing sidewalls and running new tires came into play and would make or break you for a podium finish. In the Pro Invitational class, run with handout motors and tires to stress drivers and their setup skills even more, Myron Kinnard would bring home the win in the 10-minute encounter after a fast, smooth, and clever drive on the black carpet.
