Atomic RC parts for Xray NT1

Atomic RC parts for Xray NT1

Atomic RC, the custom parts makers, have starting making option parts for the latest car to enter the 200mm market, the Xray NT1. While little information about these parts is available, the first to be released is a machined alumium lower back plate, which is a direct replacement to the standard composite part, but is stronger in the event of a rear collision. The 2nd new part are these new upper engine mounts, but i cant find any difference between them and the original Xray part with perhaps the exception of the materials used.

Sakke Ahoniemi joins GM-Racing

Sakke Ahoniemi joins GM-Racing

GM Racing have announced that they have signed former European 1:12 On-road champion and multiple 1:10 Touring car vice European champion, Sakke Ahoniemi. The Corraly team driver will use the companys GM Genius Brushless speedo, GM brushless motors and GM VISCommander battery management system on up-coming races. He had this to say about the deal.

After a couple of months testing with GM brushless motors and speedo, I’m very convinced that GM is the right company to power up my Corally cars for best results. GM Genius Brushless speedo is amazingly good in all areas and GM brushless motors have good power, so I’m looking forward to next races.

LRP Vector X11 4T Brushless motor

LRP Vector X11 4T Brushless motor

We briefly mentioned yesterday that Nosram had released the 4 turn version of their Storm brushless motor, well today its the turn of sister company LRP to make the same announcement with the release of their Vector X11 4T modified brushless motor. As with the other low turn versions of this motor it features sintered rotors and the X11 utilises a sensored system that ensures the motor has the same linearity and smooth feeling as brushed systems.

The new 4.0T Vector X11 motor is the new 1/10 TC Modified Specialist and is used by LRP’s TC Modified Superstar Ronald Völker on most tracks. The 4.0T motors gives the advantage of nearly the same power as the 3.5T version but with a better efficiency.

Can-Am Challenge / RC-Pro Series Rd1

Can-Am Challenge / RC-Pro Series Rd1

We were contacted by our partners at the RC Pro Series with a report from the first round of the Great Lakes Division, held in Ontario, Canada at the end of May at the Hamilton track. Here is the full report from that event.

With RC-Pro making its first venture into the Canada this was surely going to be a good race. The Can-Am Challenge has grown on its own merit in the three years the Ontario 1/8 On-Road Racing Club has been in existence. Some big names from the Midwest Series crossed the border for their first trip to the challenging layout in Hamilton. This was surely more of a Can-Am Challenge than in the previous year’s races.
