Full Scale Tamiya Wild One MAX

We are used to seeing scale releases of iconic race cars from the RC manufacturers especially from the likes of Tamiya, but thanks to British based The Little Car Company we are seeing the reverse of this with the release of the full size Tamiya Wild One MAX.  Based on Tamiya 1:10 2WD Buggy which was first released in 1985, and re-released in 2012, the full scale vehicle is being produced under licence from Tamiya.  Coming in at €41,000 plus taxes and shipping, it costs a little more than the RC version it is based on.  However like its 1:10 version it is electric powered with eight removable battery packs giving a total capacity of 14.4kWh and a top seed of 80kph.  Unlike the RC derivative it is also possible to register the buggy as road legal in the UK and EU.  The Tamiya Wild One MAX will be publicly unveiled and on static display at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed which runs from July 13-16th.  If you fancy getting one the order books open on Thursday and you should have it in early 2024 just in time to drive it to your local track to race your RC cars of course!!
