Hobbywing EzRun Max10 ESC & 36xx sensorless motors

Hobbywing have introduced the new EzRun Max10 sensorless brushless speed controller and the EzRun 3652 and 3660 G2 sensorless brushless motors. Starting with the controller, designed for bashers and fun racing, the Max10 utilises a range of protection features such as ESC capacitor thermal, water and also over temperature protection for the motor – the latter is taken care off by an additional wire that plugs right into motors such as the new EzRun 36xx G2 series. Furthermore the controller makes use of a heavy duty 6V/7.4V BEC system andit  sports a protected on/off switch to ensure reliability even in dusty conditions. The 3S LiPo-compatible speedo can be adjusted using the internal set button but also HW’s LED and LCD program box as well as the WiFi module.

Myron Kinnard wins at USVTA National Championship

The USVTA Nationals came to “Music City” Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the eighth year of this event. The race started off with open and controlled practice and with the new CRC black carpet and the extremely high traction, getting the vehicles not to traction roll became obligation number one for the drivers. Everything from gluing sidewalls and running new tires came into play and would make or break you for a podium finish. In the Pro Invitational class, run with handout motors and tires to stress drivers and their setup skills even more, Myron Kinnard would bring home the win in the 10-minute encounter after a fast, smooth, and clever drive on the black carpet.

Yokomo have announced the addition of Hong Kong based Jackie Shum to their team. Jackie will enforce the Asian Yokomo team with attendances at races in Hong Kong, mainland China, Thailand and Japan and he has the following to say about the deal:

First of all, big thanks to Tom, Aso and Umino for giving me this opportunity to become a Team Yokomo driver. It is definitely a very important milestone in my RC life. I will keep racing and help promote Yokomo brand in the future. I am also looking forward to seeing you guys at the track soon. Stephen Lander teams up with MD Racing

MD Racing have announced the signing of UK’s Stephen Lander to their team. Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge, having raced RC cars competitively for over 30 years, winning him both regional and national titles. His campaign will include the BRCA Indoor National series, starting this weekend, and the BRCA National outdoor championship. Stephen says:

I’d like to thank Vicente Mechancoses and the guys at MD Racing for this exciting opportunity to team up with them as a factory driver and MD Racing UK driver representative by running the MD F14 Formula car , having seen the quality and attention to detail in the development cars, I am keen to help them launch this new brand on to the UK racing scene. I look forward to working alongside Owner Vicente Mechancoses and the design team in the cars future development and intend to compete at the highest level and hope to help bring the brand many race victories. 2016 Serpent Asia Cup – Announcement

2016 Serpent Asia Cup – Announcement

The 2016 Serpent Asia Cup will be held on the weekend of the 4th of December at the Hong-Kong-based TRC racing track. Running alongside the HK Cobra GT Cup finale the Serpent Asia Cup is held in 1/8th and 1/10th scale nitro categories all of which are Serpent-only classes. The race will see the attendance of Serpent factory drivers with the event being open to drivers from all around the world. More information can be found here.
