Austrian Electric On-road Nationals Rd5 – Report

Round five of the Austrian Electric On-road Nationals was held in Laa an der Thaya and hosted by the Mod RaceLaa04 club. In the Touring Modified class Patrick Gollner took the TQ from team mate Manuel Gremlica and Dominic Vogl. The finals then were a pretty easy affair for the pole position holder and with flawless races he took the overall win in front of the fighting duo of Dominic and Manual. At the end Dominic would prevail to take the runner-up spot from Manuel.

T-Works B6-series titanium battery post with locknuts

Coming from T-Works and made for Team Associated’s sixth generation 1/10th off-road buggies are titanium battery mount posts. The parts offer a plain middle section for improved battery brace fitment and they are also 2.5mm longer than the standard parts, allowing for easy mounting of the battery hold down. The precisely machined hex section makes for effortless height adjustments and the parts come in sets of two, usable on both the B6 and B6D.

MIP TLR 22 3.0 Roller Pucks bi-metal drive system

MIP’s popular Roller Pucks bi-metal drive system is now also available for the TLR 22 3.0 buggy. The design with alloy diff ring discs and steal outdrives makes for a 25 percent weight reduction compared to the stock parts, without compromising strength and durability, making the set ideal for modified racers who wish to save on rotational mass. The kit is also usable for 13.5T Super Stock racers and it includes replaceable Roller Pucks, tungsten carbide diff balls, machined aluminium T-nut and all necessary lubes.

Sweep Defender-T 1/8th truggy tyre

Sweep have introduced their new Defender-T tyre for 1/8th scale truggies. Based off of the Defender buggy tyre the truggy-specific variant builds on the new V2 carcass with a reduced width and rounder shape, providing a more constant driving feeling on bumpy tracks while also creating more forward drive. The square-type tread along with refined pin spacing will create tons of side-bite and the tyre is available soon in YX, SX, BX, RX, and WX long-wear compounds.

Ralph Burch departs Xray

2010 IFMAR 200mm Sedan World Champion, Ralph Burch has announced his departure from long-term sponsor Xray. The veteran on-road racer gave Xray a maiden World Championship title along with many national victories. Leaving Xray and US distributor RC America behind, Ralph will now focus on new challenges and opportunities.

I would like to thank RCAmerica and Xray for the last 15 years. Together we celebrated our first world title and many national titles. I would like to also thank the team drivers and retailers for there support over these years. With that being said, I have decided to take on a new challenge and explore other opportunities.

New from PowerHD comes the crawler-specific DW25LV servo. It features an all-aluminium case, durable titanium and steel gears, a powerful coreless motor and it pulls up to 25kg-cm of torque at a speed of 0.11s. The standard voltage servo is also fully waterproof to make for rear go-everywhere capabilities and it comes black anodised and with white laser-etched graphics.

Losi XL-range aluminium shock towers & chassis braces

Losi have introduced new aluminium option parts for the DBXL and MTXL range of large scale kits. First up are front and rear shock towers cut from high-quality aluminium and coming black anodised and with silver chamfered edges. The parts incorporate several mounting positions for the shock absorbers and camber links and they include all needed mounting hardware. Available separately the shock towers are usable on both the DBXL buggy and MTXL truck.

Muchmore Impact Linear LCG 5200mAh 4S LiPo battery

Coming from Muchmore is the new Impact Linear LCG FD2 5200mAh 14.8V LiPo battery pack. Offering a reduced height of 36mm the 4S pack is build from high-performance 110C cells for high power output in demanding racing conditions. The lower height compared to standard 4S packs makes for an overall lower centre of gravity, resulting in faster cornering of both off-road and on-road cars. The pack comes pre-wired with 10AWG wire, a T-type plug and an XH balancer connector.
