Nice Serpent 960 Mods

Serpent 960 Mods

I like when people mod their racing machines especially when they try and tweak an already manufacturer optimised machine so it was great when i was tipped off to this guys Serpent 960 mod. As far as i can work out, this is a weight distribution mod as the creator ‘Got the Grip’ from RC Tech is using a small throttle servo that allows him to move it closer to the tank. He has created a single plate to mount both servos and an AMB personal transponder, although not in the optimal orientation, and has also created a new narrower radio plate too. The only thing that lets it down, besides the photography, is the use of flat head screws, really unforgivable.

Check it out yourself here.

Kyosho release Nascar Mini-Z

Kyosho release Nascar Mini-Z

Kyosho have announced the release of their latest range of cars in their ultra successful Mini-Z line of 1/24th scale racers. Nascar is of course immensely popular Stateside, and Kyosho have realised that it would be a clever decision to make officially licensed cars to sell to the fans of this class of racing. As always the attention to detail and scale looks are what makes the mini-z cars stand out and these oval racers are no different.

NASCAR, the most popular racing series in the US, has teamed up with Kyosho to produce the only hobby-grade, officially licensed NASCAR RC cars available in the world. The Kyosho team visited the racing development facilities of many of the top NASCAR racing teams, and even attended NASCAR events, all in an effort to ensure that the bodies include exceptional detail that is unmatched in accuracy and scale.
