Max Götzl wins at Czech Open Race

The Open Race was recently held in Trutnov, Czech Republic and it was Xray’s Max Götzl to set the pace right from the start. Max would TQ three qualifying rounds on a drying track to take the overall TQ while for the finals, rain came up again but this did not stop young Max from taking wins in the first and second final to grab the overall victory from Petr Tomasek (Mugen) in second and Marek Strihavka (Team Associated) in third.

Yuki Model Brainergy 7200mAh 2S LiPo battery

Coming from German company Yuki Model is a new high-capacity 7200mAh 7.4V LiPo battery pack. Built using robust 45C cells the battery measures a standard 137.5x46x25mm and it comes pre-wired with high temperature resistant silicone wires, a T-type power connector and JST-XH balancer port. The battery with its distinctive bright red hardcase weighs in at 320g and it is available now.

Yeah Racing have introduced their new Tornado Plus 25mm aluminium case fan and a range of wire guard clamps. Starting with the fan, the dual ball-raced unit features a sturdy alloy case for improved mechanical rigidity and added heat dissipation capacity when used as a speedo fan. The unit is high-voltage compatible, it sports silver chamfered edges for looks and it comes pre-wired with a red JST connector.

Kyosho expands Optima 2016 option parts range

Kyosho have expanded their range of optional parts for the Optima 2016 re-release 1/10th scale 4WD buggy. First up is a CNC-machined aluminium motor plate. The part is of a greatly updated design compared to the stock motor plate as it offers a heatsink design that will reduce the motor temperatures while the gun metal anodising improves the visual appearance compared to the standard silver alloy part.

Japanese company Active Hobby have introduced their new Joint Grease lubricant. The high-viscosity lube is best used on universal and CV-style driveshafts, driveshaft pins and also thrust races and suspension balls as its texture let the chemical stay in place even at high RPM and under severe load. The green-colour grease comes in 5g containers and it is available now.

Vesa Yli & Karri Salmela take 2016 FinTrack titles

FinTrack, the Finnish Championship series for electric touring cars, has completed its final round and crowned its 2016 champions in the Stock 21.5, Prostock 13.5, and Modified classes. The series consists of four indoor rounds followed by two outdoor rounds with points from a driver’s five best results counting. Unlike the Stock 21.5 and Modified classes, the Prostock 13.5 class only competes at the indoor rounds, with the best three results used to determine the champion.
