Sweep MP9 Muzzle buggy bodyshell

Sweep Racing have introduced the Muzzle design bodyshell for the Kyosho MP9 1/8th off-road buggy. Sporting the ever popular cab forward design the body is meant to improve steering reactions while the distinctive rear wing provides improved traction in low-grip track conditions and on bumpy surfaces. The body is made from thick 1mm polycarbonate and it comes clear, ready for your favourite paint job.

Imbue V3 brass shock pistons

Coming from Imbue are the new V3 brass shock pistons, now featuring thicker O-rings and an overall increase in body thickness. The new O-rings provide increased piston stability under loading, better sealing and more consistency lap after lap, while the increased body thickness boosts piston weight by 15 percent. Offered in four hole configurations, including 5, 6, 8 and 10-hole variants, the 16mm V3 pistons are available now.

Xray has introduced an optional brass engine mount for the NT1’16 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. Providing solid engine mounting and easy gear mesh adjustment the part also adds a certain weight which can be beneficial in various track conditions as the mount moves the weight balance further back, improving the rotation of the car in medium-high traction conditions.

Quentin Leroux takes French 200mm Championship

Quentin Leroux takes French 200mm Championship

Round four of the French 200mm National Championship was held in sunny weather conditions and hot temperatures. Going into the penultimate round, Quentin Leroux and Basile Concialdi both were in the position to grab the overall win early with a second place being good enough for Quentin to take the title. The qualifiers were run in a best of three consecutive laps mode and the opening qualifier went to Basile with a 52.65s in front of Quentin with a 52.95s. Following some setup changes Quentin was able to better his time to a 51.92s, also setting a new track record with a 17.31s. Q3 then held no improvements as a slower track allowed Quentin to grab the overall TQ from Basile who was followed by Nicolas Bougnoteau and Michael Derderian.

RDRP Ultra Camber Gauge R2 version

Revolution Design Racing Products popular Ultra Camber Gauge is now available in the R2 version. Offering a slightly updated design, the tool, made from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminium, now also comes in a choice of five different colours including red, orange, black, dark blue and light blue. Apart from that the functions remain the same with the gauge being usable for 1/12th to 1/8th scale vehicles, it is made from durable yet lightweight material and its laser-etched markings make it stand out from the crowd.

Schumacher Cat K2 alloy chassis & LiPo mounts

Schumacher have announced the release of two new Speed Secret option parts for the Cat K2 4WD buggy. First up is the new 2.0mm alloy chassis that gives the car increased flex for a more forgiving and compliant feel. The chassis is 36 grams lighter than the standard kit item, made from high-quality 7075 alloy and hard-anodised in black. The chassis is a direct fit and suitable for the majority of track conditions.

Maurice Lüscher wins at Swiss 200mm Nats Rd4

Round four of the Swiss Nitro On-road Nationals was held at the Langenthal track. In the 1/10th 200mm main final Xray’s Maurice Lüscher walked away with the win from Raphael Wicki (Xray) and Traugott Schär (Xray) in second and third respectively. Kevin Lehnherr (Xray) and Dominik Mucnjak (Shepherd) completed the top 5 result.

2016 Hot Race Cup – Announcement

The 2016 Hot Race Cup will be held at the Riccione track in Italy on the weekend of the 31st of July. The race will be held in the five classes of Touring Car Modified, Touring Car Pro Stock 13.5T, Formula, PanCar 1/10 and then new promotional class Cinquone 299 with the best Italian drivers as well as international making an appearance. The Touring Modified class will see a special race format with the B-main drivers having a hot lap race as a last change bump-up into the A-main. In addition to the race the event will see the famous beach party on Saturday evening with a DJ set, free drinks and many more.
