Xray NT1 rear graphite chassis stiffener

Coming from Xray and made for the NT1 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car is a rear graphite chassis stiffener. Designed to eliminate flex around the engine area the brace comes in handy especially on high-bite tracks as it couples the radio plate mount and the 2-speed bulkhead, resulting in a reinforced rear chassis section. Included with the stiffener comes suitable mounting hardware.

Brilliant RC C-18 R 1/8th scale on-road bodyshell

Brilliant RC have introduced their new C-18 R 1/8th scale on-road bodyshell. Available in a standard non-cut but also pre-cut variants for vehicles such as the Shepherd Velox V8, Mugen MRX-6, Serpent 977, Xray RX8 and ARC R8.0, the body is manufactured in Germany from finest 0.75mm polycarbonate with well distributed material thickness making for best durability and performance. The body’s shape ensures a very good overall traction in combination with a lot of steering, resulting in a super smooth but fast handling. Coming with window masking sheet and decals, the EFRA homologated body (#31545) will also be legal for the Pro Stock Series and it is available very soon.

T-Works have introduced their new tyre additive bottle with heavy duty applicator. The sponge applicator will withstand even highly aggressive traction sauces such as the Mighty Gripper V3 with the 50ml bottles being ideal to mix own additives or to control the amount of sauce taken with you during travelling. Included with the bottle comes a range of coloured dots to allow for easy marking.

Trinity 24K Certified Plus stock brushless motors

Coming soon from Trinity is the 24K Certified Plus stock racing brushless motor. Based on the standard 24K the Certified Plus went through specific checks to ensure maximum performance. First up the motor’s rotor asymmetry is being checked which is meant to be a crucial part in building a fast motor. Typically a rotor shows asymmetry values of 0 to 30 plus with Trinity’s Certified Plus motors not exceeding a 4. On top of this each motor comes with red-sealed ceramic bearings and pre-set timing specially dedicated for 2-cell off-road, 2-cell on-road touring or 1-cell 1/12th scale applications. The Certified Plus range of motors will include 13.5T and 17.5T variants, they come with dyno printouts and are available soon.

Paul Field wins at BRCA Southwest regionals Rd3

Round three of the UK’s BRCA Southwest regionals took place last weekend at a very sunny Mendip Raceway. The track was very fast and flowing, making for some great racing. Paul Field (Schumacher) took the TQ and the win in the 2WD class andhe  also confirmed himself as the 2016 2WD regional champion with a round to go so a very big congratulations to him on his first ever 2WD regional championship. Paul Penny (PR) took a great second place from fourth on the grid while Martin Owen (Team C) finished up third on the podium from his third place qualifying spot to keep it all close for a battle for the overall runner-up spot going into the last round at Tiverton on the 31st of July.

Fast Race MBX7R coloured battery box

Coming from Fast Race and made for Mugen’s MBX7R buggy are coloured battery boxes. Constructed from ABS material the compartments easily take straight-type LiPo receiver battery packs while an incorporated channel makes for easy wire routing towards the receiver box. The battery box comes in fluorescent yellow or red as well as plain black colour with two screws allowing for easy battery access through the detachable lid.

Patrick Hofer wins Swiss 1/8th Buggy Nats Rd3

Round three of the Swiss 1/8th Nitro Buggy Nationals was held at the Lütisburg track this past weekend in mixed weather conditions. HB driver Jeremy Pittet would TQ the Expert class from the Team Associated duo of Patrick Hofer and Ronny Lüber in second and third respectively. In time for the finals the weather turned to the worst, making for challenging track conditions. Starting from the pole position into the 45-minute A-main after winning the semis, Patrick Hofer would jump into the lead that he would hold onto until the checkered flag. A lap down Ronny had to defend himself from Jeremy with both being separated by only 2.6 seconds at the end.

Xray have announced the appointment of Germany’s Jan Ratheisky as their Formula-specific team manager. As part of the X1 development team Jan has an exceptional knowledge about the platform and he will now step up as the team manager in order to improve service and support at major international events. Jan will participate races such as the ETS, AOC, IIC and the European Championships and he has the following to say:

I am very happy for the opportunity to be the Formula Team manager. This opportunity form Xray makes me very proud and at the same time decisive like never before. I will do my best to provide the best possible support to every Xray driver at all major formula races or online at Xray forum & FB X1 group.
