Rio Ferdinand Foundation partnership with RC Vision

RC Vision, the leading social venture promoting STEM education and diversity through radio control car racing, has announced a new partnership with the Rio Ferdinand Foundation, set-up by former Manchester United Rio Ferdinand, and the Grove Park Youth Club Building Preservation Trust (“GPYCBPT”). Together, we will deliver RC-based STEM engagement sessions for children aged 12-16 in Grove Park, South London, tackling the critical need for greater diversity and inclusion in STEM education. Informal learning with radio control cars is a great way to engage young people in STEM education and develop the skills and habits of mind needed for success in engineering and STEM careers. Andy Hyde, the founder of RC Vision, explains: “We exist to make a difference in the world of motorsports and STEM education. By promoting diversity and inclusion and providing engaging learning experiences, we’re helping to build a more equitable and sustainable future for all of us.”

Mayako MX8 new Suspension Mounts & Hinge Pins

Mayako has introduced new suspension mounts and screw type inner hinge pins for increased strength on its MX8 1:8 Buggy. The new mounts feature oval holes in the blocks which will allow the screw type hinge pin to go through and be tightened with a M4 lock nut. The mounts are assembled in the same way like the previous one, the hinge pin is the only difference. The 4mm Hinge Pins make the car more sturdy and durable in hard impacts and will prevent the suspension mounts to split and have the old “captured” design hinge pin pop out.

Hasi Tuned Rear Back Plate for O.S. Engine

Hasi Tuned, the engine tuning brand set-up by top international Swiss onroad racer Silvio Hächler, has released this Rear Back Plate for O.S. Engine V-FUEL Type. Their latest back plate creation, it is designed to increase mid to high range power and also increases fuel efficiency and quicker return to idling. The back plate can be used with on relevant offroad and onroad engines from O.S.

Muchmore Racing Fleta ZX V3 Motor

Muchmore Racing has just released it latest competition motor the Fleta ZX V3. Featuring a new stator designed so that the motor can sustain performance even at extremely high temperatures, it also features a new FLOW-MAX3™ Aluminium cooling body design. This design exposes the stator core for maximum air cooling with holes in the front and rear end plates ensuring excellent heat dissipation. Another new addition to the V3 is the Aluminium Material Sensor Cable connector protector & Dual sensor position which helps reduce damage of connector. You can connect the sensor cable to a desired position by applying dual sensor position. The motors have Advance timing from 0 – 50 degree’s, Grade 5 ball bearings and newly designed Gold plated soldering tabs.

Team Titan Lightweight Pinions

Team Titan has introduced a new range of lightweight pinions. The new lightweight hard coated 48dp pinions will initially be available from 37t to 40t with further sizes to follow. The new lightweight pinion range have the same quality as Titan’s Ultra Series pinion but at a reduced weight.

Power HD sign young Chinese talent Alfred Lao

Power HD has announced the signing of young talented Chinese Onroad racer Alfred Lao. The 19-year-old is both a National Youth and Open Champion and will now use Power HD low profile brushless servo S15-M to compete in the upcoming race events. With 10-years racing experience, commenting on the announcement Alfred said, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to officially represent Power HD in my race schedule, hoping to share more servo parameters setting with Power HD users. Having followed the brand for a long time, I deeply appreciate their support and assistance to me. When I used Power HD’s servos for the first time, I was attracted by its performance. The precise and quick response of the servos helped me to improve my performance during races. SMJ 1.9mm Stealth Line springs

Japan’s SMJ has added a new 1.9mm spring to its Stealth Line. The original 1.9 spring, that has been included in the Infinity 1:8 Onroad racing kit since the birth of the brand, has now been recreated as an SMJ Stealth Line spring with new material and precision. The smooth driving characteristics with minimal body roll are suited to 1:8 racer from beginner to expert.

Sworkz 1:8 Offroad Pro Race wing

Sworkz has improved the aerodynamics of their 1:8 rear wing with the introduction of the new Pro Race wing. A popular option for high grip tracks, it has an upper and bigger side wing surface that helps provides more straight line speeds. These side plates were especially designed for Sworkz cars following testing by their factory drivers. There are 6 points available for making aerodynamics holes under the wing gurney and they help reduce the down force of your car during high speeds. The new wing comes in three colours – black, white and fluorescent yellow.
