Coelho tops Q2 at Italian ETS

Bruno Coelho put in what could turn out to be an important TQ run when he topped the second round of qualifying at the Italian round of the Euro Touring Series. With the threat of rain tomorrow at the Riccione track, Q2 would see the Xray driver post the only 19-lap run as he headed the times from Q1 pace Viljami Kutvonen, the Finn 3/10th shy of making the extra lap. Making it a very good first day for the A800 on its asphalt debut, Kutvonen ‘s team-mate Freddy Sudhoff having been 11th in both practice & Q1 would find form to complete the Top 3. Adding to the Russian manufacturer’s joys, Max Machler would take the second Pro Stock qualifier leaving him as the provisional overnight TQ holder.

Kutvonen TQs opening qualifier in Riccione

Viljami Kutvonen has TQ’d the opening round of qualifying at the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in Riccione. Creating somewhat of a surprise earlier in the day when he was fastest in practice, the Awesomatix driver showed his pace was genuine, topping the qualifier from current championship leader Bruno Coelho. Second fastest in practice Marc Rheinard would complete the Top 3 with a bit of gap to Alexander Hagberg in 4th but things couldn’t be much closer over the remainder of the Top 10 which was covered by less than 1-second.

Ruddog RP1206 coreless low-profile servo

Ruddog Distribution have introduced their all-new RP1206 low-profile servo for 1/10th scale applications. Designed for demanding racing conditions the servo features a black anodised heavy-duty all-aluminium case, sturdy metal gears and a powerful coreless motor. Dual ball bearings and laser-etched logos round out the package. The high voltage compatible servo offers up to 12kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.06s and it is available in two variants with a short 80mm or long 180mm all-black wire, allowing for neat wiring jobs in touring cars and off-road vehicles alike.

Kutvonen top seed at ETS Italy

Viljami Kutvonen is the top seed for qualifying at Round 4 of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in Italy. The first asphalt race of the season, the Awesomatix driver set the fastest 3-consecutive laps around Road Race Riccione RC Circuit Marco Simoncelli from Marc Rheinard by a considerable 4/10ths of a second. Initially credited with the fastest time but having his best lap disallowed for a track cut, championship leader Bruno Coelho would complete the Top 3 followed by Kyle Branson and reigning champion Ronald Volker.

Yokomo YD-4 SLF big bore shock set

Made for the YD-4 drift car is Yokomo’s new SLF big bore set. The all-aluminium shocks come with Kashima-coated threaded shock bodies for silky-smooth damping action and they also feature aluminium upper and lower caps as well as chromed piston rods. Included in the 4-shock set is also suitable mounting material and to further up the performance Yokomo offers optional titanium-nitride coated shock shafts. Not included in the set are the needed shock springs.

WWHD T5M & SC5M laydown transmission conversion

Trinity have introduced the WWHD laydown transmission conversion for the Team Associated T5M and SC5M trucks. The Humpty Helms developed conversion will improve the truck’s corner speed especially in high bite conditions with the set including a machined laydown transmission case, carbon fibre motor plate, carbon fibre camber link mount, carbon fibre battery brace and two truck-specific shock towers along mounting hardware.

Schelle Racing Innovations B6 titanium upper screw set

Coming soon from Schelle Racing Innovations is an upper titanium screw set for the Team Associated B6 buggy. Made using Grade 5 6Al-4V material the screws offer a 40 percent weight advantage over conventional steel screws while being highly corrosion resistant at the same time. The set strategically removes the kit’s steel screws from up high above the chassis, which lowers the centre of gravity and improves handling while all chassis bottom screws are not included in this set.

KO Propo EX-2 Expert Set 2.4GHz radio system

During this weeks Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan KO Propo have introduced the new EX-2 Expert Set 2.4GHz radio system. The intermediate-level radio comes with the KR-413 FH high-end receiver, drop down steering wheel and the expert grip with an additional thumb dial wheel and 2-way switch. It is also understood that the master unit supports a faster response rate. More information will become available in time for the release.
