Lucas Grainer doubles at Slovakian Nationals Rd2

The second round of the Slovakian 1:10 Offroad National Championships took place over the weekend where the Team Associated of Lucas Grainer took the double win.  Racing at the RCcomorra track which is located in Komarno in the South West of the country, in qualifying Grainer secured the TQ in both classes.  The Xray of Roman Dero Pavlus would be his closest challenger in the finals finishing runner-up in both 2WD and 4WD.  In 2WD the Team Associated of Michal Nagy completed the podium while in 4WD the Top 3 was rounded out by the Xray of Lacko Toth.

T-Works 22X-4 Alu Center Bulkhead

Coming from T-Works and made for TLR’s 22x-4 is this aluminium centre bulkhead.  The single piece is machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium for exceptional strength and features a black surface coating for wear and looks as well as machined silver edge details.  The part is a direct replacement for the standard kit bulkhead.

Capricorn C04 optional chassis

Capricorn has released CAD images of a new optional chassis it will offer for its C04 1:10 Nitro Touring Car.  Thanks to the carbon fibre centre weight support, the chassis is more versatile and also increases the flex in the centre of the car.  The factory will supply free of charge one chassis to every Capricorn driver participating at this year’s EFRA European Championship.

Iris ONE Option Parts

Following extensive testing since the release of the Iris ONE touring car, the German brand are now launching a number of option parts to further enhance the handling performance of the car. First up is an Aluminium Differential Cover. It significantly enhances the seal of the differential, ensuring consistent performance throughout its entire runtime. Made from high-quality 7075 aluminium, this differential cover is both sturdy and lightweight. Anodised in a striking Iris red, it adds a distinctive look to your vehicle. Moreover, the cover features a ball bearing that acts as a guide for the differential output, thereby further improving performance.

Arena RC Racing BD12 stiff type upper deck

Arena RC Racing has released this optional ‘stiff type’ upper front deck for Yokomo’s new BD12 Electric Touring Car.  Machined from mat finish carbon fibre the stiffer 2.0mm deck creates increased initial response making it suitable for Medium to High Traction conditions.  Arena RC Racing also offer the standard 2.0mm front and rear upper decks.

Xray XB2’23 Alu Chassis with Bent Sides

Xray has released this Aluminium Chassis with Bent Sides for its XB2’23 1:10 2WD Buggy.  The chassis plate retains flex characteristics but incorporates the traditional mounting of the rear suspension holder based on customer feedback for maximum reliability.  The shorter chassis improves steering reactivity.  The chassis features bent sides for proper weight balance and increased traction with maximum stability of the car.  The rear part of the chassis is narrow. CNC-machined from high-quality 2.5mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, the lightweight chassis retains the necessary strength and rigidity, and is black coated at XRAY’s own in-house fully robotic coating line.  The chassis is universal for both Dirt and Carpet edition.

BRCA 2WD Onroad Nationals Round 2 – Report

The second round of this year’s BRCA 2WD Onroad Championship took place at the West London Racing Centre.  Both Saturday’s Practice and Sunday’s race day saw the drivers greeted with sunny, warm conditions which were ideal for what was to prove to be some very close racing.  The first of the FWD qualifiers went to Ben Moorey’s Awesomatix from Ben Cosgrove’s Xray and with our Dutch visitor, Robin Van Gog, in third with another Awesomatix.  Ben C took round 2 from Dale Burr’s Awesomatix and Andy Faulke’s Destiny.  Round 3 went the way of Schumacher’s Andy Murray with the new FT8 from Ben C and Ben M. So, it was Ben C who took pole from Ben M, Dale and Andy.  The first leg of the final’s saw Ben M take the win by three-tenths from Andy, Ben C and Dale.  The second leg saw a win for Ben C from Ben M by less than four-tenths with Dale in third, so it was all down to the final leg to decide it.  It was Ben C who took the win with Ben M recovering to take second from Andy and Dale.  So, the overall win went the way of Ben C and his Xray from Ben M’s Awesomatix and Andy’s Schumacher.
