Hagberg & Honigl retain European 1/12th titles

The 2016 European Championships in the classic 1/12 pan car class was held at the Hudy Arena, in Trencin, Slovakia last weekend and Alexander Hagberg gave the following report. ‘The race saw a good field of drivers in both modified and stock 13.5T blinky categories, with drivers from 16 different countries in attendance. In the modified class, I managed to set the pace throughout practice, as well as winning 4 out of 6 qualifiers, it meant that I would start first on the grid come Sunday. I was closely followed at times by my team mate Olly Jefferies from the UK, who put his X12 car 2nd on the grid with 1 TQ run and a solid performance throughout qualifying. The young and talented Dionys Stadler, also put in a great TQ run in Q4, and would eventually qualify 4th overall. This meant that the X12 car would TQ every single round of qualifying in modified, with three different drivers fighting for the TQ.

Montech IS-200 190mm touring car body

Montech have introduced their new 190mm touring car body, the IS-200. Positioned in their line-up between the Evo and the Silvy, the new body works great on asphalt giving excellent turn-in while being very stable and carrying lots of speed through the corners. Made from 0.7mm thick high quality polycarbonate it comes supplied with wing & mounting bolts as well as window masks and decals.

Making the Xray RX8’16 – Part 2

After making the decision to incorporate the changes, I was almost a permanent fixture behind the computer… trying to put all the changes from the 3 different concepts into one car. This was very tricky & demanding, as I had to throw away a significant amount of the work done beforehand, and even still I was constantly running into conflicts and problems. After a huge amount of time & effort spent on this, I finally finished and was very pleased with the outcome. I uploaded all the manufacturing programs to the production server, and Production started to work on the 20 pieces of the cars for the team. While working on the team cars, we sadly informed distributors that the RX8 would be delayed for the 2015 season. This was not very welcome news.

Jeric comes with decades of experience within the Industry, having spent the last three years at his own firm following 12 years with Horizon Hobby. Bill is widely recognised as former leader of the Losi and Team Losi Racing brands, and most recently as the founder of Tuning Haus. Tuning Haus will become an exclusive product line of HRP, and Jeric plans to continue developing products, strengthening existing relationships and exploring new opportunities for HRP through his network of contacts within the industry. Xray XB2 chassis side guards

For the XB2, Xray have created these new side guards, an integral part of the XB2 Multi-Flex system. Molded from composite material, the side guards allow for proper chassis flex an now there are various hardness available for different track conditions. To compliment the kit versions there are now medium and hard versions.

Fenix Racing F1 Delta gear diff

Fenix Racing have released their new F1 Delta gear diff, developed together with Framega. Featuring 4 metal spider gears and 3 high quality ball bearing, this gear diff is offered with an 86 teeth 64dp CNC machined spur gear, in order to ensure the most precise diff possible. Adjusting the diff is achieved with a combination of springs and grease. Available with both, metric or imperial shafts, it will fit almost all the F1 chassis on the market. Collari defeats Romagnoli, Redaelli dominates 200mm

It has been an outstanding final day at the 2016 Picco Onroad European Challenge, with the 1/8th A-Main being the perfect icing on the cake for the event. With the TQ Robert Pietsch suffering an issue with a piston pin clip that came out from its groove and forced him out of the fight for the win, it was Lamberto Collari to pick up the lead. The 9-time World Champion Infinity driver took control of the race and mastered his strategy although a late charge from Michele Romagnoli put a decent amount of pressure on him, the WRC driver deciding to go all-in not coming in for the last splash&go but eventually running out of fuel in the last lap but still finishing second ahead of Carmine Raiola, who rounded up the podium.
