Intech Racing have released the ER-12M 2.0 Lite, which is the lightened version of ER-12M 2.0 and saves extra 61 grams compared with the stock unit. The all-new aluminium honeycomb chassis, aluminium motor plate and a pair of composite side guards are included and these parts feature milling and holes to reduce the weight while maintaining durability and rigidness.

New from Hudy comes this CNC-machined aluminium bearing checking tool. Incredibly light weight due to lightening holes in the handle, the diamond knurled pattern gives maximum grip. The bearing tool is used to check the internal diameter of metric bearings to verify the bearing is operating properly. Once the bearing is placed on the tool, you can spin it to make sure it spins smoothly. It can also be used to clean the bearing while it is installed as well as lubricating it before re-installation. There are 16 steps on the bearing tool with the size engraved on each, from 2–15mm.

Infinity driver Masao Tanaka has taken an impressive TQ and Victory at the recent second round of Carrera Cup held in Kei-Tune last week. Starting from qualifying the Japanese ace driver show an unmatched speed on the track allowing him to take the TQ spot. For the 20 minutes Amain final his team adopted a very aggressive strategy deciding to change tires at the 10 minute mark; all other competitors decided not to change. The gap accumulated during tire change were huge but Tanaka’s pace were incredibly fast recovering the time wasted in the pits with a series of record lap times. With this “Qualifying mode ON” he could grab a well deserved win in front of Takayasu San and his HB R8 (9 second margin) and Hot Bodies chief engineer Miyashita San (1 lap behind) that sits on the third spot of the podium.

Intech have announced the release of an optional new gear ratio for the BR-6 nitro and electric buggies. An optional 40T crown gear with 12T pinion gear for the front and rear differentials and a 46T steel spur gear with 13T clutch bell for the centre differential give a final gear ratio of 11.79. All gears are machined from the rigid steel and lightened with milling and holes and come laser-engraved with the teeth numbers which allows for quick and easy identification. These durable gears increase drivability on low traction and bumpy track conditions to improve lap times even in the most extreme racing conditions. The complete gear set includes a pair of lightweight 40T crown gears and 12T pinion gears, a 46T lightened steel spur gear, a 13T clutch bell, and an aluminium centre diff plate spacer for extra spur gear clearance from the chassis.

New from Xray for the XB2 Dirt Edition are two new battery straps made from a special composite material. Available in two different hardnesses for various track conditions, the standard (medium) version is recommended for very-low to low-medium traction tracks while the hard version is best suited to low-medium to medium-high traction tracks.

The 2016 Toykar Futaba OS Jakarta Open will be held on the Jakarta International Twin Circuit, Indonesia on May 14th to 15th in the three classes of 1/8th Nitro On-road, 1/8th GT On-road and 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring. The annual event each year attracts both experienced drivers and entry-level racers alike with the latter being highly encouraged to take part at the event that always offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. From 26th to 27th of March 2016 the annual TC event called the Russian Touring Masters was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. This time the track had a new bigger 32x16m carpet and a new layout and for the third in a row some drivers from abroad have visited the event. Former LRP TCM winner Viljami Kutvonen from Finland with Marcel Geiger and Max Machler from Germany were racing in modified. Mad Max was also racing in 13.5 turn stock class. During qualifications there was total domination of Viljami Kutvonen in modified. Former Russian national champion Kirill Trofimov grabbed second spot showing very good speed. ETS A-main participant Maxim Laverychev lacked some pace in qualification and started from the third place on the grid.
