JQRacing ties up with ARMA Energy

JQRacing have announced that US-based energy drink company ARMA Energy have become a major corporate sponsor. Known for their involvement in a variety of extreme sports, including motocross racing, ARMA Energy seems to be a perfect fit to JQRacing’s renowned “out of the box” attitude and the SoCal-based company “will play a significant role in building an international, professional RC racing team”, according to JQRacing. Details about the cooperation have yet to be announced but it is understood that the deal is more than beverage cans being placed on pit tables and busty models posing with RC cars.

Team Durango DEX210F mid motor 2WD buggy

Team Durango DEX210F mid motor 2WD buggy

Team Durango’s DEX210F shaft-driven mid motor buggy, as it was used at the 2015 IFMAR Electric Buggy World Championships, is soon available for the public. Making use of the front section of the DEX210v3 and the back-end of the DEX410v5, the car is purpose-designed for high-grip astro turf, carpet and clay surfaces thanks to its special weight distribution. The battery and motor layout can be easily adapted by using saddle or shorty LiPo packs and a front or mid motor configuration to accommodate different track conditions easily. The power is transferred by a heavy duty slipper clutch and a lightweight gear differential with composite inserts. The chassis is a wide 6061 aluminium plate to which an aluminium rear bulkhead with carbon fibre shock tower attaches. New hard-anodised aluminium suspension mounts with composite inserts allow easy toe and anti-squat changes while the rear Multi-Axle driveshafts help to adjust the on-power steering characteristics by using different length driveshafts. The kit, that will become available shortly, is topped off by a new mid cab design bodyshell.

Airtronics strengthened SRG servos & new receivers

Airtronics strengthened SRG servos & new receivers

Airtronics have introduced the new Strength versions of three popular SRG line servos as well as two new receivers. Starting with the servos, the SRG-LS Ver.2, SRG-BX and SRG-BS are now available in the Strength version with an all-metal gear train. The servos sport the same specifications as the previous versions but the new gears make them more durable in demanding applications. As for the receivers, the RX-471 Dual ID FHSS-4 is able to store two unique bind codes, allowing to bind up to two compatible transmitters to the receiver at the same time. This feature is ideal for endurance racing or for vehicle testing, by allowing two different drivers with their own transmitters to control the model at any one time. Also new is the RX-380 3-channel FHSS-3 receiver. The high-voltage compatible, BEC-less receiver is usable with 4.8V to 7.4V input, it measures 37.5×24.7×14.1mm and weighs in at 8g.
