Yokomo have released a first teaser image for their BD7-2016 electric touring car kit. The latest incarnation of the IFMAR World Championship winning BD7 will feature an extremely low centre of gravity, new small diameter diff pulleys, redesigned short stroke big bore shocks, all-black aluminium parts with silver chamfered edges and a price tag comparable with the 2015 spec car. Detailed information and images will become available by mid-November with the first batch of kits expected to ship the first week of December.

With the TLR 22 3.0 Team Losi Racing have introduced the latest incarnation of the popular 22 1/10th 2WD buggy. The 3.0 has been designed to give racers a versatile platform that easily adapts to changing track conditions without requiring a lot tuning changes. First up is the all-new 3-gear transmission with revised motor location that places the motor 12mm closer to the diff gear to increases the rear weight bias, providing better rear grip on exit, more entry steering and a buggy that, overall, is easier to drive. The new layout also decreases chassis roll, greatly improving the vehicle’s stability, consistency and braking. A 4-gear transmission is available separately for lower-grip tracks and different driving styles.

Mini-Z PN Racing World Cup 2015 – Announcement

The 11th edition of the PN Racing World Cup will be held this coming weekend in Maranello, Italy. Born from the idea of PN Racing’s Philip Ng and considered to be the most important Mini-Z race World-wide with former host countries being the U.S. and Singapore, the event will make its first ever stop in Italy. Organised by Minizracing and Davide Marka the event will see the attendance of 140 drivers from different countries to compete in the five classes of 2WD, GT Mod, PanCar, Formula 1 and Le Mans. The race direction will be carried out by Riccardo Acciari and Giuliano Golfieri and more information about the race can be found here.

Belgian SCT Cup Rd7 – Report

The final round of the Belgian SCT Cup was hosted by the BRCC, the only indoor clay track of the country. Once again the club provided a flawless organisation with a great track, large pits and nice catering. The event attracted a good amount of racers, keeping the yearly trend high. In Pro2 the qualification, Martin Vierin (Team Associated) TQ’d the opening qualifier while Nicolas Evens (TLR) came out fastest in rounds 2 and 3 to take the overall TQ. Philippe Hautecoeur (Team Associated) completed the top 3 ahead of Laurent Halluin (Team Associated) and Patrick Tytgat (Team Associated). In Pro4, Nicolas Evens (TLR) swept all qualification rounds to take the TQ to leave Frank Devos (Tekno) and Frédéric Fontaine (TeamC) battling for the places behind him.

Build using high-performance 90C cells the hardcase battery target racers and bashers alike and its standard 138×46.5×45.5mm dimensions makes it usable for all 1/8th vehicles that use brick-type battery packs. The pack weighs in at 600g, it comes pre-wired with an industry standard balancer connector but no power connector, allowing to use your choice of battery/ESC plug.

Wright wins at North Midlands GT Clubmans series

James Wright wins at UK Northwest regionals

The second round of the BRCA North Midlands GT Clubmans series was held at Swifts Raceway. James Wright (Xray) would take the TQ in the Formula class from teammate James Millbank (Xray) and Exotek driver James Greener. The final then saw Wright taking off with no problems while Millbank ran into issues in lap five when he tried to lap a backmarker. Touching the brakes in a corner send his car off the track due to traction rolling, which dropped him back to fifth. Millbank was able to recover to third and that’s how the main ended. Up front James Wright took the win from James Greener on the runner-up spot.

Mike Gosvig wins Danish 1/8th Buggy title

The final round of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Championship was held on the famous “horse hall” track in Bramming. The event attracted not only the fastest Danish drivers but also guests from Germany although these weren’t able to score points for the championship. In the premier 1/8th Nitro Buggy class Mike Gosvig, Peter Harder and Jan D. Jansen had all chances to grab the overall title and despite some receiver battery problems in the opening qualifier, Mike Gosvig took the overall TQ by coming out fastest in the following rounds. Pelle Culmsee would end the qualifiers on the 2 spot followed by Magnus Frandsen. Peter Harder and Jan D. Jansen would end the qualifiers in 4th and 8th place respectively.

Available in the industry standard sizes of 25mm, 30mm and 40mm the precision-moulded fans are made from premium nylon material and they utilise dual ball bearings to ensure ultra smooth, fast and silent performance. Usable with 6V to 8.4V input the 30mm fan rotates with up to 24,200RPM while the larger 40mm offers up to 15,500RPM. Included come ultra flexible silicone extension wire.
