Adrian Bertin takes French 1/8th Elite class title

The final round of the French 1/8th Nitro On-road National Championship was held at the MARCG Castelsarrasin club. Going into the season finale with a pretty big margin on his competitors was pre-event favourite Adrien Bertin, with an 8th place in the final would be enough for him to take the overall Elite class title. Technical issues in the qualifiers then tightened things up a bit for Adrien as he had to go through the quarter finals but after a safe drive in the semis Bertin would be able to put his car on the 4 spot for the main final. Adrien then would have an early battle with Desmaries, but after a small mistake of his opponent, Adrien would take the lead and later on the win and with the 2015 French Championship.

Ride XR 1/10th formula tyres

Ride XR 1/10th formula tyres

Ride have introduced the all-new XR 1/10th formula front and rear tyres. In development for almost two years the runner-up version of the highly popular R1 will retain positive features such as multi-surface ability and low wear while sporting new rim with larger inner diameter and a reinforced outer edge to make for a more durable and better performing wheel. An updated injection process of the rims raises quality and trueness. The updated tyres feature re-designed profiles for increased steering response, better side bite and forward traction while the rubber compound used offers the same easy driving feeling as the R1 but with extra steering response everyone was waiting for. The pre-glued tyres, that will be the new controlled ETS Formula class hand-out wheels, are rounded out by all-new inserts which are of a more stable material for consistent performance over time.

Viktor Wilck wins Swedish Cup finale

Viktor Wilck wins Swedish Cup finale

The final round of the Swedish Cup was held at the brand new Eskilstuna raceway. This 500 metre long track is one of the biggest in the world and it features a crazy long straight. In the Touring Car Modified class Viktor Wilck and Niclas Nilsson battled for the TQ with Niclas taking the wet opening round and Viktor striking back in Q2 and Q3 to take the overall TQ. The fight for the top spot would go on in the finals but it was again Viktor who had the upper hand, winning A1 and A2 with a 5-seconds margin to take the overall win. A wet A3 kept Viktor from starting and it looked like his team mate Niclas would grab the runner-up spot but some small mistakes let Alexander Andersson by. Alexander ultimately ended the day in second place from Niclas Nilsson who rounded out the podium in third.
