Flashpoint tyre sauce & fuel measuring syringe

New from Flashpoint R/C Products comes the Racing Grip tyre sauce and a fuel measuring syringe. Starting with the traction compound, the additive was developed with both on-road and off-road racing in mind. Formulated for foam and rubber tyres the sauce enhanced grip and traction and it comes in a 4oz. can with applicator. Also new is the fuel measuring syringe that is best used for checking runtime of nitro cars as described by Mugen Racing’s Adam Drake here.

John Doucakis wins at Greek TC Nationals Rd3

Round three of the Greek National On-road Championship was held at the Zorri RC track near Athens with many of the country’s top drivers in attendance. Sunday started out in nice weather and with the usual warm-up runs ahead of the qualifiers. With four qualifying rounds of which the two fastest counted and a tyre limit of two sets for the day, tyre strategy was important. In the opening qualifier John Doucakis (Awesomatix) dominated the proceedings in the Touring Modified class by scoring a 17 laps 5:13 run, two seconds clear of reigning champion, Nick Georgiadis (Xray) and touring car veteran, Dimitris Mitropoulos (Yokomo).

Mckune Design have introduced a new locking battery brace for the Yokomo YZ-2 2WD buggy. The battery brace features a unique 3-piece design that locks into the waterfall to eliminates the common problem of the stock battery brace coming out from chassis flex. The locking brace is made from high-quality carbon fibre and it weighs just 9.6 grams and will tilt up to allow removal of the battery.

Pro-Line have several new products for a range of 1/10th scale trucks available in the form of bodyshells and tyres. First up is the pre-painted Flo-Tek Fusion body for 1/10th short course trucks. Available now from Motiv is the HV Super Fan with fan guard. The high-speed super fan features dual ball bearings and is rated to handle 8.4 volts with ease but is still strong enough to have good air flow running off lower voltage. Included is a 3D-printed fan guard to save that precious pinky from the threat of annihilation.

5th Annual JConcepts Fall Brawl – Announcement

AMain Performance Hobbies’ Outback Raceway presents the 5th Annual JConcepts “Fall Brawl” on November 7th to 8th. Run on an all-new layout and using an accurate event timetable the organisers are keeping the “Buggy Brawl” format, which provided for some great triple A-main racing following bump-up B-mains. Dutch 1/8th Nitro On-road Nats Rd6 – Report

Utrecht’s RACO 2000 track played host to last weekend’s sixth and final round of the Dutch National 1/8th Nitro On-road Championships. Saturday’s practise started off dry and partially cloudy, while Sunday morning’s qualifying started under sunny but much colder conditions. In both the premier NK class and the Nomac class, the championship still was to be decided. In the NK class it was Frank Baggen (ARC/Reds) who was fastest after the qualifiers, followed by Arie Manten (Shepherd/Picco), Joey Sorber (Shepherd/Maxima) and Ad Vissenberg (ARC/Reds).

Laszlo Kiss-Orban wins Hungarian E-Buggy title

The final round of the Hungarian Off-road National Championship was held at the RCOR track in Apaj. In the 1/8th E-Buggy class Laslo Kiss-Orban was the pre-event favourite going into the season finale and he would not disappoint as he grabbed another podium finish as he took the win from Zoltan Bognar and Janos Pakot in second and third respectively. With the win Laszlo also took the overall Hungarian National Championship.
