Team Associated releases Carson Wernimont

Team Associated releases Carson Wernimont

Team Associated have announced the release of Carson Wernimont. Newly signed by Team Associated for the 2015 season, Wernimont immediately put in consistent A-Main performances in both electric and nitro off-road while racing his new Team Associated vehicles. As the 2015 racing season unfolded, it became obvious that the relationship was not in alignment with the original goals, and a decision was made to terminate Carson’s contract instead of fostering an unhealthy relationship through the agreed upon contract term. Everyone at Team Associated wishes Carson the best of luck in his future endeavours.

JConcepts Exo 1/10th shock stand

JConcepts Exo 1/10th shock stand

JConcepts have introduced a simple but attractive shock stand for 1/10th off-road shock applications. The design is unique featuring an Exoskeleton look where ribbing and surrounding geometry forms around the cylindrical holes used to place the shocks. The stands are moulded from a durable and light-weight material typically used in an application such as wheels and suspension components. The pass-through holes allow the user to use the stand from either end to suit their individual need or taste. The stand sits inside a separately functioning moulded rubber cup with embossed JConcepts.net logos patterned around the surface.

RC Lemans Rd4 – Report

RC Lemans Rd4 – Report

Round four of this year’s RC Lemans Series was held this past weekend at the M.A.C. de Baanbrekers club in Rucphen, the Netherlands. Partly damp conditions made things interesting, nevertheless most of the qualifiers and finals could be run in dry conditions. With the qualifiers not being counted by points and following a dry and a slightly damp qualifier the final round would be the rocket round to qualify for the A-mains in both the Modified and Stock classes. In the Modified class it was Reinder Wilms who was able to score the only 23 laps qualifying run to take a maiden TQ in the RC Lemans Series. Behind the Dutchman Tobias Weist, Sven Stoffels, Tim Altmann and Marc Lorenz completed the top 5 with all four being covered by only a couple of seconds.

Brilliant RC Belt Silicone lubricant

Brilliant RC Belt Silicone lubricant

Brilliant RC’s new Belt Silicone is an innovative lubricant which improves the performance and efficiency of every belt-driven RC car by reducing the friction of the belts and pulleys. Furthermore it ensures that less dirt adheres on the pulleys and on the belts which results in less wear and an extended life of the drivetrain. The lube comes in a bottle with a small applicator brush for convenient and save application as even the smallest amounts of silicone-based lubricants can cause considerable damages in nitro engines.

Boots finally comes good to win EC title

Boots finally comes good to win EC title

Elliott Boots is the 2015 1:8 Offroad European Champion, the driver renowned for his outright speed finally coming good to claim the first major title of his career.  Top Qualifier at the 35th running of the championships, the Kyosho driver would end the reign of former team-mate David Ronnefalk by leading home the HB driver by almost half a lap of the Ongaroring.  In front of a hugely supportive Italian crowd Alex Zanchettin would complete the podium in Sacile ahead of home hero Davide Ongaro.  Unfortunately for Ongaro’s Mugen team-mate Robert Batlle his race would end before it had even started when his front centre driveshaft came out during the final countdown to the cars being put down on the grid.
