Jost wins Rd6 as Mullink takes Dutch BL-Cup title

Jost wins Rd6 as Mullik takes Dutch BL-Cup title

The 6th and final round of the Dutch BL-Cup was again held at the Euregio circuit in Hengelo, this time as a combined event with the German BL-Cup, raising the number of entries and making for good competition. The Euregio track pleased the drivers with a new feature called the Carrera twister which was a nice addition. After the qualifiers Bart grabbed the TQ followed by runner-up Lucas Jost. In the semifinals it was again Bart who came out fastest to put his buggy on the pole position for the main final. Right from the start Bart was leading the pack but he wasn’t able to pull away and so he was closely followed by Lucas who in turn had to defend himself. On lap 3 the leader made a mistake and he fell back to 5th place and Bart managed to get back into the 3 spot only to retire later due to a problem on his buggy. Up front Lucas managed to retain the lead and to take the win from Sascha Gehring and Anne Strom in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Overall and despite the DNF Bart Mullink took the 2015 Dutch BL-Cup title.

Coming soon from Horizon Hobby are two new 1/24th scale RTR trucks. First up is the Torment short course truck featuring all-wheel drive and a tough nylon composite chassis. Oil-filled shock absorbers smooth out the ride over ruts, bump and jumps while grippy all-terrain tyres make for great forward and side bite. The chassis sports a bottom-loading battery compartment for the included 220mAh 6-cell NiMH battery and the factory-installed receiver and speed controller combo is coupled to a powerful brushed motor. Topping all of this off is a pre-painted bodyshell which is available in two different colour variants. The fully ready-to-run package is rounded out by a 2.4GHz radio system and an USB charger. Beside the Torment ECX also has the Ruckus monster truck to offer that uses the same chassis while sporting a pick-up style body and a larger wheel and tyre combo.

Soren Boy Holst wins Danish SuperStock title

Soren Boy Holst wins Danish National Championships

The final round of the Danish Electric On-Road Nationals was held on the outdoor asphalt track in Odense, the city famous for HC Andersen and the DHI-Cup. The battle for the Danish Touring Car SuperStock Championship was wide open going into the final round as four drivers could take the title. To spice things up even more, five fast drivers from German attended the race as well. The weather during Saturday’s practice was perfect, but the prediction for Sunday was a little bit more risky. Usually the first round of qualifying is great for everyone due to new tires, but on the low to medium grip track the Sorex tires seemed to be better the second time out.
