Kurzbuch claims first ENS win in Aigen

Simon Kurzbuch claimed his first Euro Nitro Series victory in Aigen, Austria, today when he won the second round of the championship ahead of 2014 title rival Robert Pietsch.  The Team Shepherd driver took advantage of Top Qualifier Pietsch losing a front wheel off his Mugen to claim a popular win.  Completing the Top 3 at the end of a very hot three days racing at the challenging Aigen-Schlägl track was Lars Hoppe, the German giving class newcomer ARC its first podium with last year’s race winner John Ermen taking his example to 4th.

Leino heads HB 1-2 at ENS Austria

Teemu Leino headed a HB/HPI Racing 1-2 at the Euro Nitro Series in Austria after a super close race long 3-way battle for the win.  In the end it was a perfect strategy that secured Leino his first ENS win ahead of team-mate Jilles Groskamp. Top Qualifier Dominic Greiner would complete the podium at Aigen-Schlägl, the top 3 covered by just 6-second after a hot 45-minutes of racing.  Winner of the season opener in Italy, Bruno Coelho would finish 4th, a result that leaves him tied at the top of the championship with Groskamp.

Yardy & Cragg win at BRCA 1/10th Buggy Nats Rd4

Eden Park Raceway played host of round 4 of this year’s BRCA 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals this past weekend. In the 2WD class Tom Yardy took the TQ position from Richard Lowe and Simon Moss. Ellis Stafford and Neil Cragg rounded out the top 5 result. The 4WD category saw Ellis Stafford coming on the top spot with Lee Martin and Neil Cragg in tow. Tom Yardy in 4th and Kevin Lee in 5th rounded out the top 5 qualifying result.

BRCA 1/8th Circuit Nationals Rd4 – Report

The fourth round of this year’s BRCA 1/8th Circuit National Championship was hosted by the Halifax circuit in West Yorkshire. The entry list was good, so the competition between drivers in their respective skill levels would be very close. Local driver Tim Wood was the first absentee on Saturday due to racing the Euro B finals in Italy but was due to attend on Sunday after a night flight and travel back Sunday morning. Saturday and the pace was set by Mark Green with his Novarossi-powered Serpent but the gap back to the chasing pack was around 0.1 second per lap with the track evolving and getting quicker throughout the day.

Modelix Racing introduce the new M-4R Tuned nitro off-road engine which was developed by the Modelix research & development team with the input of international top level drivers such as Yannick Aigoin, Miguel Matias and Robert Batlle. Produced by Novarossi the 4-port engine features a tuned crankshaft and it is meant to be the most powerful and speedy off-road engine so far in the Ultimate range of engines, offering exceptional power through the whole powerband.

BRCA Touring Car National Series Rd2 – Report

Mendip is one of the UK’s oldest and well established tracks, and this past weekend it hosted round two of the BRCA Touring Car series and witnessed a win for Chris Grainger. Chris took the TQ with his Team Associated car and went on to dominate the finals ahead of the Schumacher of Elliott Harper. Starting fourth was Andy Moore and he made his way through a close fought mid field to complete the podium ahead of round winner Olly Jefferies and Capricorn driver Stef Chodzynski. The result for Grainger puts him in the championship hunt and marks his first major win since joining Team Associated at the start of the season.

Christoffer Svensson takes Swedish 4WD Buggy  title

Following Oskar Levin’s 2WD Buggy title Christoffer Svensson has taken the 4WD title during last weekend’s Swedish 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals. Hosted by the Höörs RC Klub the 4WD race saw Kyosho’s David Ronnefalk taking the TQ but it was Yokomo driver Christoffer who grabbed the winning honours from David while TLR’s Otto Ausfelt rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Yeah Racing M05 graphite & efficiency upgrade kit

Yeah Racing have introduced the graphite and efficiency upgrade kit for the Tamiya M05 car. The company’s third upgrade kit for the M05 addresses possible cooling issues the car can have when racing in high ambient temperatures with three individual aluminium cooling heatsinks with cooling fans and a aluminium fan mount will keeping any motor cool in all racing conditions. The kit also includes a redesigned battery mount with a lightweight, spring loaded aluminium and carbon fibre quick release that does away with any body clips and the like. The design also allows to route the battery leads out of the top for increased safety. The set is rounded out by carbon fibre shock towers and a suitable fan unit and all aluminium parts come in metallic ice blue colour.
