Greiner takes Q2 at ENS Austria

Dominic Greiner has TQ’d the second round of qualifying at the Euro Nitro Series in Austria. The Serpent driver just missed out on a 15-lap run around the Aigen-Schlägl circuit to top the times from HB’s Teemu Leino by 9/10ths of a second. Another close qualifier, 5-seconds covering the Top 10, Capricorn’s Thilo Todtmann completed the Top 3 on what is another hot day at the track. For Q1 pace setter Jilles Groskamp he would miss the start of the qualifier after a suspected loose engine caused a stripped gear in the warm-up.

JConcepts Summer Indoor Nationals – Announcement

The JConcepts Summer Indoor Nationals will be held from the 11th to 12th of July at the Outback Raceway in Chico, CA. This race will be held at AMain.com’s new and improved facility, to give racers an even better experience while racing and enjoying themselves. The Summer event of this first of its kind, true Indoor National Series will start on Thursday with open practice and a Thursday Night Club Race and officially kicks off on Friday with controlled practice. Kurzbuch takes Q1 in Aigen

Having topped both free & timed practice, Team Shepherd’s Simon Kurzbuch carried his form through to the opening qualifying at Round 2 of the Euro Nitro Series in Aigen, Austria. The reigning 1:8 champion would post the fastest time by 6/10ths of a second from Robert Pietsch who was lucky to start the qualifier after suffering deep cut to his finger from a drinks bottle just before hand. Behind last year’s title rivals, ARC’s Lars Hoppe put in a strong qualifier to complete the Top 3 ahead of Round 1 Top Qualifier Dario Balestri.

Groskamp TQs opening ENS qualifier

Jilles Groskamp has TQ’d the opening round of 1:10 qualifying at the Euro Nitro Series in Austria. Fastest in timed practice making him top seed for qualifying, the HB driver took the opening qualifier ahead of Capricorn’s Thilo Todtmann who was just 0.030 of a second off. A very close qualifier, the Top 10 covered by 4.5 seconds, Dirk Wischnewski completed the Top 3 followed by ENS Round 1 winner Bruno Coelho.

Kurzbuch tops 1:8 free practice in Austria

Reigning Champion Simon Kurzbuch has got Round 2 of the Euro Nitro Series in Austria off to a good by topping free practice at the Aigen-Schlägl track. The Team Shepherd driver setting the fastest 3 consecutive laps around the challenging track 4/10ths faster than Robert Pietsch with ENS Round 1 Top Qualifier Dario Balestri completing the Top 3. Making his debut with category newcomer ARC, Silvio Hachler had an impressive early showing setting the fourth fastest time ahead of team-mate Lars Hoppe with last year’s race winner John Ermen 9th fastest.

Groskamp tops free practice at ENS

Jilles Groskamp set the pace in free practice at Round 2 of the Euro Nitro Series in Austria. On his first visit to the Aigen-Schlägl track, the HB driver set the fastet lap from Dirk Wischnewski and last year’s race winner Dominic Greiner. In complete contrast to last year’s Austrian encounter when rain halted the opening day’s action, a very hot day meant the top 3 set their best laps in the cooler conditions of the first of the five free practice rounds. For Round 1 Top Qualifier Teemu Leino and race winner Bruno Coelho they would end the free practice 5th and 6th fastest respectively.

Chan Chau Man wins Starry Night Cup Rd1

The opening round of the Starry Night Cup was held in Shenzen, China with a lot of top level drivers attending including Japan’s Shimazaki Shinya. The race was interrupted by rain and the remaining two of the four qualifying rounds would start as late as 6 pm. At the end Dang PZ took the TQ on the now slippery track to start into the 40 minute final from pole position. Dang PZ then lead most of the A-main but Chan Chau Man, coming from further down the field, put a lot of pressure on the leader and finally took over the lead following a mistake of Dang. From that moment on Chan Chau Man was able to cruise to the win in front of team mate Li JW with Fai Ho taking the last remaining podium spot.

Milanowicz wins Formula class at Polish Nats Rd3

The third round of Polish On-road Nationals was held at the track of Ruda Slaska. Nice weather had the track temperatures rising up to 55°C which made setup a bit problematic for the Formula drivers due to the high grip level. At the end it was Michal Milanowicz (Xray) who came out successful in the A-finals from Przemyslaw Wicher and Jan Ruman (Xray) who were all in the mix for the overall win until the final leg.
