Team C 30mm ESC heatsink fan mount

Following the 25mm ESC heatsink fan mount Team C now also have a version available for speed controllers with a 30mm fan mounting pattern. Designed mainly for touring car applications and made from black or orange anodised aluminium the fan mount attaches to the speed controller’s heatsink in order to place the included 30mm WTF fan unit at an angle. This setup can improve the cooling of the speed controller while also blowing towards the motor, allowing to spare the additional motor fan for less amp draw and reduced weight.

Maltese 1/8th Nitro Offroad Champs Rd5 – Report

Round 5 of the Maltese 1/8th Nitro Offroad Championships was held at the MMORRC Rinella track in windy weather conditions and on a pretty dry and rough track. The qualifying had Kyle Spiteri, reigning the Maltese champion, taking the TQ in both the Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes. In the Buggy main Kyle then had to settle for 2nd place as his team mate and 2013 champion Dillon Cassar drove an almost faultless race from 2nd on the grid to take the win. With Dillon’s victory, this year’s buggy title will go to the wire and will now be decided in the 6th and final round. Whoever wins between these two drivers will take the 2015 Buggy title. As for round 5 of the championship, Chris Zahra finished in the 3rd spot.

Owen wins electric class at Swindon Nitrocross Rd6

The recent sixth round of the Swindon Nitrocross saw Ashlee Owen taking the win in the E-Buggy class. Coming from the 3 spot on the grid Ashlee had a great start that allowed him to pull away from the pack early. Chris Lovell came in 2nd while Mick Butler rounded out the top 3 result. Further down the field Sean Wiles and Mark Hicks rounded out the top 5.

Schumacher BTCC Rd2 – Report

Schumacher BTCC Rd2 – Report

The superb and very fast venue of Mendip was the host of the second round of the Schumacher BTCC this past weekend. Many drivers turned up on Saturday for some track time with the weather being dry but cool all day. Come Sunday the weather changed with the track being wet with a few puddles on it. The organisers decided that there would be open practice running until 10AM to give the track plenty of chance to dry out. Also due to the entry being somewhat lower than usual, mainly due to many of the regular drivers attending the ETS race on the same weekend, it was decided that six rounds of qualifying and single mains would be held. The format therefore was three from six rounds to count on round by round qualifying. This was hugely welcomed by the racers who were in attendance, making for plenty of track time before the National in a couple of weeks. After the qualifiers and the single mains Kyle Branson came out successful in the Modified class from Chris Grainger and Stefan Chodzynski.
