ReveD RDX Optional parts

RC Drift manufacturer ReveD has released a number of new optional parts for its RDX chassis. The first of these is the EZ Type Wheel Hub Series that can be attached to the rear axle. Compared to the plastic rear hub that comes standard with the kit, the use of aluminium improves the accuracy, and by combining it with the Φ6.0mm axle, it effectively suppresses core shake and allows for smooth rotation. In addition, by holding down the pin that fixes the hub with an O-ring, it stabilises the rotation and prevents the pin from coming off when the wheel is attached or detached. It also reduces stresses when changing wheels. Two types are available: 5.0mm and 7.0mm.

Xray enter Coelho for inaugural MIBO International Race

Xray has confirmed that it will be sending Bruno Coelho to the inaugural MIBO International Race in the Czech Republic. The exciting new indoor event on March 3-5th, will feature both onroad and offroad racing action with Coelho set to focus his attentions on the Offroad competition. Kicking off his 2023 season with victory at the annual GP3F in France last weekend, the reigning Touring Car World Champion will use the event to work alongside Xray’s offroad designer Martin Bayer as the duo begin preparations for what is a big year for 1:10 Offroad. In September, the two time 4WD Buggy World Champion will travel to the US to contest the IFMAR 1:10 Offroad World Championship with one of Bayer’s creations. Xray will also be officially represented at the MIBO International in onroad with Martin Hudy, who is responsible for Xray’s onroad car design, contesting the Modified Touring Car class at the inaugural Michal Bok created event.

JConcepts has stated its committed to SCT off-road racing with the release of the Smoothies slick tyre. In some conditions in off-road racing, a slick tire is the fastest way around the track and throughout the racing calendar year, there are several tracks where slicks in silver or green compound remain the go-to tire. In damp weather, indoor clay surfaces become so tacky that the lower the tread or to the point of zero tread is an advantage. For years drivers have sanded, ground and hand sculpted tires in search of that elusive slick carcass for racing but now JConcepts is giving racers a slick option straight out of the package. Released as a 3.0” x 2.2” bead mounting diameter, the Smoothies mount straight to the latest generation wheels for that all important reactive feel. Former World Champ bringing RC to schools

We’ve all heard it said that ‘youth are the future of tomorrow’. This is why it is great to see well decorated offroad racing champion Daniel Reckward doing his bit to give something back to the hobby and try to bring in the next generation of racer in a time when RC Racing faces much more competition in an ever increasing high tech screen distracted era. One of the brothers behind the successful German based RC distributor RMV and always a gentleman to deal with during our coverage of races he attended, the former World and multiple European 1:8 Buggy Champion has been bringing RC into schools. Now after a successful pilot run of the concept, he is looking to grow the idea with others. In a positive move, he has already had initial negotiations with EFRA, the governing body of RC Racing in Europe about implementing the idea across its national federations.

Redcat LRH285 Designers Show Kit

This is the same chassis used on the popular Redcat SixtyFour and FiftyNine hopping lowriders but with lots of chrome. Called the LRH285 Designers Show Kit, it includes an overwhelming amount of chrome parts making it the perfect kit for those who want to create their own show-worthy custom RC Hopping lowriders. Redcat lowriders are designed for slow cruising and performing hopping lowrider tricks that are possible because of the purpose built LRH285 chassis, which uses a realistically simulated hydraulic suspension. The LRH285 chassis replicates the unique movement of a full-size hopping lowrider. The LRH285 Designers Show Kit is a fully assembled slider and includes a LRH285 hopping lowrider chassis, brushed motor, servo horns, mounting hardware for your electronics. The kit is made to give builders an opportunity to craft their very own custom lowriders, so it does not include a body, wheels, tires, radio system, ESC, servos, battery or charger.

Infinity IF15/IF15W Front Bumper

Coming from Creation Model is this new front bumper for the Infinity IF15/IF15W 1:10 Nitro Onroad Chassis. The shape of the bumper tip has been changed to match the body shell used in the latest racing scene. The addition of ribs to increase the rigidity of the bumper has resulted in more efficient aerodynamics and improved manoeverability, especially at high speeds. The bumper plate has also been reshaped to improve crash resistance.

Batlle confirmed for Philippine Masters

New Mayako team signing Robert Batlle has been confirmed as another star entry for the return of the annual Philippine Masters. The former World Champion joins reigning World Champion Davide Ongaro in returning to the beautiful Circulo Verde track located in the heart of capital city Manila. Taking place on April 28-30th, the Philippine Masters has established itself as one of Asia’s most high profile international events with 2023 marking the 11th running of the QCRCCC hosted event. Again directed by the voice of RC, Scotty Ernst, the draw of both the racing and hospitality in Manila means the sell out event will see drivers representing 14 different nationalities battle it for the 2023 Philippine Masters title.

Sworkz S14-4C 1:10 4WD Buggy

Sworkz has introduced its latest 1:10 4WD Buggy, the S14-4C. This carpet edition race buggy is an evolution from their successful S14-3C platform. The new geometry of the car provides optimised corner speeds and easy handling on carpet and very high grip tracks. The S14-4C features the new gear box with adjustable diff. system on a T7075 hard anodised and lightened aluminium chassis. The flex of the chassis can be changed by different material sideguards. It comes with Sworkz brand new designed 1:10 Pro-Shock System (Short version). The shocks come with new Emulsion Precision Plastic Shock Caps, Shock Pistons with Seal Parts. The kit comes standard with a 4mm carbon carpet version for both front rear shock towers. The Teflon coated shock shafts provides smooth shock reactions. Black Line springs which are good designed with rotation fixed spring holders comes standard in the Sworkz S114-4C kit.
