RSD TC6.2 RSD7 carbon fibre chassis

Available now from Reflex Racing is the RSD7 carbon fibre chassis for the Team Associated TC6.2 touring car. The shape of the chassis has been engineered so that the car can roll and pitch more naturally, increasing the traction and the steering of the TC6.2, which translates into more corner speed and stability. This is further assisted by the reduced width of only 85mm that has been chosen to promote more roll in the corners as well as allow to run a lower ride height when necessary. On top of that the battery position is pushed further back to increase…

RSD TC6.2 aluminium chassis & floating servo mount

…optional battery holders and an optional motor mount available. Also new is the RSD TC6.2 floating servo mount. The part was designed to make the steering on the TC6.2 more precise thanks to its 3-bolt design at both the bottom and the top. The constructon keeps the servo from shifting after tapping boards and having collisions. This allows the car to track more straight through out the run. By detaching the servo mount from the steering posts the car also will not tweak the front end after collisions. Reflex Racing recommends to use the servo mount in combination with a…

New Team Associated TC6 option parts

Team Associated introduce new option parts for the TC6 line of touring cars such as the TC6, TC6.1 and TC6.2. Starting with aluminium spur gear pulleys, the parts are machined from aluminium to offer a more true-running surface. The pulleys are hard-coated to reduce wear and use blue colour aluminium belt retaining flanges. Also new are delrin spool outdrives wrapped with blue aluminium retaining rings for added strength. The outdrives eliminate the need for CVA bone blades for fewer failures and more run time between maintenance. Last but not least and only useable on the latest TC6.2 is the hook…

Myron Kinnard wins at 2014 Carpet Showdown

One Lug RC Raceway hosted The 2014 Carpet Showdown in Albertville, Alabama. The Carpet Showdown brought racers from most of the Southeast including Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama. The short track layout generated intense racing and made no room for errors. Close spec racing and the fun factor of the muscle-car bodies added realism to the track, with some back-to-back racing. Tight 180-degree turns and fast, short straights required serious setup and driving control. Team Associated’s Myron Kinnard took his Reedy-powered TC6.2 to the TQ spot in qualifying. In the Main he took full advantage of that TQ position and…
