First images - HB Pro 5 Touring car

Team HB are making their race debut here in Kissimmee with their all new Pro 5 platform. As to be expected it is somewhat of a conventional layout and configuration but as with almost all touring cars on the market it is the details that matter. With only the rear uprights and the front driveshafts carried over from its predecessor the car has been completely revamped. Up front the steering knuckles have keyed carbon levers for adjusting the Ackermann, the floating steering servo mount features an integrated antenna holder and battery stop.

JConcepts TLR 22 titanium front axle

JConcepts TLR 22 titanium front axle

Coming from JConcepts and made for the TLR 22 buggy is the titanium front axle kit. A critical point of the conversion revolves around the front axle and surrounding geometry, with JConcepts having conveniently built the front axle and hex into a single piece allowing the use of a traditional 4mm lock-nut instead of the stock screw type design. A low-profile, aluminium 4mm locknut has been included which features an inner serrated surface which grips the wheel when tightened for locking security. The titanium material lowers the weight and increases the bling factor with the axle being easily installed on the 22 buggy line of vehicles including the TLR 22 2.0.

Fenix 1-piece differential joint for Formula cars

Fenix 1-piece differential joint for Formula cars

Italian company Fenix Racing introduce a 1-piece differential shaft for 1/10th scale Formula 1 cars. Made for Tamiya-style 6mm rear axles the part is machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and it offers a longer thread to allow the use of taller M4 self locking nuts. This in turn improves reliability and allows to use a larger number of diff springs. To minimise weight the contact area for the inner diff plate has been milled down to the smallest possible diameter while the precise machining of the whole parts ensures super true running.
