Bittydesign Striker-SR 3.0 190mm body – Coming soon

Bittydesign announce the soon release of the Striker-SR 3.0 190mm touring car bodyshell. With the current Striker-SR 2.0 being quite a unique body with an aggressively shaped hood section and a short rear overhang the follow-up version again is expected to be Bittydesign’s most agile body with the Nardo and MC10 being the more conservative in terms of front end grip and overall body length. We bring you more information on the body as soon as they become available.

GForce Hyper Booster capacitor units

GForce introduce the Hyper Booster capacitor units for 1S and 2S usage. Coming in a black or blue anodised aluminium case for looks, protection and added cooling surface the add-on modules offer a capacity of 250,000µF, they measure 38×22.1x11mm and weight in at 18g.

Spec-R LiPo safety bags

New from Spec-R come these branded industry standard LiPo battery safety bags. Available in red or black colour and coming with a printed Spec-R logo the bags are ideal when charging, discharging or storing 1S to 4S LiPo battery packs. They are made from fire-resistant fabric and minimise the harm to your pit table and surrounding areas in case a LiPo pack goes boom for whatever reason.

Agustin Cutini wins Argentinian 1/8th off-road champs

The 2nd round of the Argentinian 1/8th off-road championships took place at the city of Cordoba. The TQ in the Pro Nitro Buggy class went to Agustin Cutini who was able to converse his performance in the final, allowing him to take the win in front of Nicolas Bregante and Lucas Pons in 3rd place respectively. By winning the first two rounds Agustin also took the 2014 championship early.

Axial scale crawler tyres & rims

Axial have new 1.9″ crawler tyres as well as 1.9″ and 2.2″ rims available. Starting with the tyres, first up are the BFGoodrich Krawler T/A tyres, a scaled down version of the full-size rock-crawling championship winning tyre. They are moulded from R35 rubber and come with standard foams included. Also new is the Falken WildPeak M/T mud terrain tyre. Like the BFGoodrich the Falken resembles its full scale counterpart, it is made from R35 rubber, comes with inserts and it is designed for 1.9″ wheels.

Miguel Mathias teams up with Modelix Racing

Modelix Racing announce that former European Champion, three time Worlds finalist and multi-time Portuguese National Champion Miguel Matias has joined their racing team. Miguel will run Procircuit tyres and Ultimate Racing products and he will work closely with the Modelix R&D team on the further development of the Procircuit and Ultimate products.

RB Touring Speed .12 nitro engine

RB introduce the Touring Speed .12 nitro engine for 1/10th 200mm touring cars. The more economically prided variant of the TRX features a 3-port EFRA and IFMAR legal sleeve, a 11.5mm turbo crankshaft and main bearing, a turbo combustion camber insert, and a strong conrod. All that is housed in a lightweight yet strong crankcase and combined with an aluminium slide carburettor with 5.4mm insert. The sport-level engine is available separately or including a 2668 in-line pipe.

JConcepts 4mm large flange serrated locknuts

JConcepts have new 4mm large flange serrated locknuts available. The high precision wheel nuts are designed with a large flanged area for additional support against the wheel and serrated for locking security while the large flange and clamping surface area supports the wheel and helps maintain geometry during flex and load. The larger area also provides more footing for the serrated area which provides a more comfortable lock-down. The lightweight locknuts are available in blue and black colour and can be used on a wide range of 1/10th cars, buggies and trucks.
