Branson wins second round of Essex Winter Series

Round 2 of the Essex Winter Series presented by Infinity took place over the weekend with Kyle Branson taking the win.  In qualifying Branson topped the first three qualifiers before having issues in Q4 which was topped by Alex Thurston securing the Capricorn driver 2nd on the grid.  A string of P2 times would give the Xray of Harley Eldridge 3rd on the grid ahead of Schumacher’s Andy Murray.  While Thurston and Eldridge pushed Branson in the single leg final they were not able to pass the British National Champion and they finished as they qualified.  In Stock it was Zak Finlay who took the TQ and win with Billy Fletcher second and Tony Broad third.  Starting from pole Shane Chipolina won Front Wheel Drive with his Schumacher while in the Junior E class James Snashall took the victory having also started from the front of the grid.

1Up Racing UltraLite 30mm High-Speed Alu Fan

1Up Racing has introduced their new UltraLite 30mm High-Speed Aluminium Fan with integrated guard and optional Brass Chassis Mount. The fan sports a short 30mm cable with basic 2-pin connector that works with many speed controls and they also include a 200mm extension cable with JR connector should you want to plug it into your receiver or hard-wire the fan.  They have cover nearly mounting solutions with included 2.5x6mm and 3x6mm screws.  The perfect compliment to the new high-speed fan, is a Brass Chassis Mount allows you to easily mount the fan to nearly any car and keeps the weight as low as possible for improved centre of gravity helping to increase stability and improve corner speed on any surface.  A channel runs under the fan to keep your wiring neat and again, as low as possible. Simply use servo tape to mount this to your chassis and use the two included button head screws to mount the fan. Rather than rigid mounts that screw to the chassis, the use of servo tape helps dampen vibrations improving the life of the fan as well.
