Adrian Berntsen wins TC at Norwegian nats

The 2014 Norwegian Championships was hosted by the Spydeberg Motorklubb in the small village of Spydeberg. The race saw round-by-round qualifying with the best two of five to count. Xray’s Adrian Berntsen was able to secure the TQ by winning three of the five rounds. Petter Berntsen TQ’d two rounds handing him P2 for the finals in front of Rune Svestol. In the A-mains Adrian cruised to the victory quite easily, nearly lapping Petter. Rune Svestol completed the all-Xray podium in the Touring Car class.

Ashton takes GT12 national title

Ashton takes GT12 national title

The 6th and final round of the 2013/14 BRCA National Series was held at what some consider the home of 1/12th scale racing, the Shirley Park Leisure Centre, Clay Cross, Chesterfield. In the GT12 championships both the Saturday and Sunday title was still up for grabs. The Saturday title could be won by either defending champion Chris Ashton or his Schumacher team mate Jamie McDonagh. Round 1 saw the Mardave of Jonathan Dixey set the fastest time with the Schumacher of Jamie McDonagh setting the next quickest time but with his car failing scrutineering, this would move Chris Ashton up to 2nd place and Alex Thurston into 3rd. Round 2 saw Chris Ashton move to the top of the time sheets with Jonathan Dixey dropping to 2nd place and Matt Lax into 3rd.

2014 Danish Indoor Junior Club titles – Report

2014 Danish Indoor Junior Club Championship

The Brondby Racing Club held the last of 5 races to crown the 2014 Indoor Junior Club champions. The championship is run in a Touring Car Modified, Super Stock and Stock class and saw Stefan Finnich taking the overall title from Lars Holm and Mesut Ocak. Michael Johnson and Nicolai Lindegaar completed the top 5 of the Modified class. In Super Stock, Patrick Danielsen brought home the overall win in front of Claus Ryeskov and Casper Morgan. Christian Lehm and Willy Lehmann ended the series in 4th and 5th respectively. In the Stock class Jack Helge Sorensen was crowned the 2014 champion, Jannick Jacobsen and Jeppe Svendsen finished 2nd and 3rd. John Clausen and Michael Kilbinger Hansen completed the top 5.

John Michael doubles at March Madness race

John Michael doubles at March Madness race

The March Madness race at The RC Pit saw John Michael taking the win in Pro Buggy following an exciting first part of the race. While being in front he got hung up on a pipe where there was no marshal which allowed the 2nd and 3rd driver to catch up and John fell back to 2nd place. 4 laps later John regained the lead and he was able to take the win. Griffin Hanna finished 2nd. In E-buggy John Michael followed closely to the leader Griffin Hanna for the first 4 minutes of the race. Once the leader made a mistake John Michael got past and stretched out his lead over the next 6 minutes to take the win.

Walleser & Wegmann win at BaWue Cup

A round of the South German BaWue Cup took place in Singen last weekend. In the GT+ class Philip Walleser dominated qualifying and later on he took the win from Björn Keller and Michael Zipfel. In the Touring Car Modified class Markus Wegmann brought home the win starting from pole position. Philip Walleser came in second while Peter Deggelmann completed the top 3 result.

Sartor Cristiano wins at F.V.S.S. Trophy

The first F.V.S.S. Trophy took place last weekend at the historic track of Pista Verde Fener. A total of 44 attended in the 1/8th on-road, 1/10th on-road and 1/8th classic classes. In 1/8th on-road F.V.S.S. team driver, Sartor Cristiano (Shepherd/Novarossi) took the win in the final after using most of the qualifying to search for a good chassis balance and tyre consumption. Mattia Collavo (Capricorn, XRD) came in second while Lorenzo Cadamuro (Capricorn/Picco) completed the top 3 result.

PSM B-Max2 & B-Max4 III carbon option parts

Germany company PSM have new optional parts for Yokomo’s B-Max2 and B-Max4 III buggy available. Made for the 2WD B-Max2 is the 4mm carbon fibre front shock tower. CNC-machined from glossy finish material the part weights in at 4.5g and it comes including two 7075 2mm aluminium spacers. Also new is the front upper brace for the B-Max4 III. Cut from 3mm material the brace weights in at 3g, it reinforces the front steering and bulkhead assembly and comes including two aluminium spacers for the steering posts. Both parts are direct replacements for the respective stock items and are available now.

LRP S10 Twister alloy wheel adapters & servo arms

LRP have new option parts for the S10 Twister line of off-road vehicles as well as alloy servo arms available. Starting with the Twister parts, the aluminium wheel adapters are made from high-quality material and they offer increased rigidity over the stock parts. Included are also four steel drive pins and rubber O-ring to hold the pins in place. Also new are three aluminium servo arms for 23 teeth, 24 teeth and 25 teeth splines. Coming as single arm variant for steering duties and dual arm versions for throttle and brake applications in nitro cars, the arms offer increased rigidity especially when used with high-power servos for increased steering precision and brake holding power. They come blue anodised and with a pre-drilled ballstud mounting hole.
