Shepherd Velox V8.2 rear suspension optionals

German nitro onroad manufacturer Team Shepherd has introduced some new options parts for the Shepherd Velox V8.2 rear suspension.  The new aluminium parts make it possible to use the eccentric inserts from the front of the car to adjust the position of the rear upper wishbone pin as needed. The upper/outer position is the same as the upper position of the standard parts while the inner ones increase the length of the upper arm.  The set comes with all necessary hardware.

US Carpet Offroad C/ships Spec Tyre Announcement

The US Carpet Off Road Championships has announced the spec tyre suppliers for this year’s running of the Cleveland, Ohio, based race.  Started in 2021, the week after the legendary US Indoor Champs On Road race, the 2nd edition takes place on December 1-4 with world famous announcer Scotty Ernst in charge of proceedings.  While the USCOC event has open tyre classes, for its Spec tyre classes Ernst is proud to announce their partnership with Schumacher and JConcepts. Buggy classes will use Schumacher Tires with the Truck classes running on JConcepts.  For 2WD it is the Cut Stagger front and Cactus rear that will be used while 4WD uses the Cactus Fusion 2 front and Cactus rear.  In Truck classes it is a Swaggers and Pin Downs combination for both Short Course and Truck.

R1 Wurks DC1 ‘Tuned’ arms & front bumper

R1 Wurks have released some more new option parts for their DC1 drag racing platform. The American brand has added new front and rear arms as part of the ‘Tuned’ line for the DC1.  The arms are each 3 grams lighter while maintaining the same durability as the standard kit arms.  Also added to the ‘Tuned’ line is their latest front bumper design. The injection molded piece is machined out in house to help reduce weight over the front end of the car. Coming in at 48 grams it is 10 grams lighter compared to the kit front bumper.

WRC Racing STX.8 Touring Car

Italian company WRC Racing has introduced their new STX.8 1:10 Electric Touring Car. Coming over 2 and half years after its predecessor, the STX.7, the key features of the latest incarnation of their STX series are a new differential system for better rotation on high traction surfaces, a new steering system, a low rear body mount and other details to lower car’s overall centre of gravity.

JConcepts 3.5 x 46mm Fin Titanium turnbuckle set

JConcepts has introduced new 3.5mm Fin turnbuckle sets designed specifically for style, durability, and performance. The base of the design is centred around a .143” titanium hex size which gradually tapers down into a 3.5mm thread base design which accepts the new Team Associated #92308 ball cups. The focus of the styling surrounds the lengthened adjustment hex area and the “finned” cuts that rotate about the centre. The Fin turnbuckles are lightweight, and the original design brings out the glamour and quality that makes titanium one of the most sought-after exotic materials in the world. The JConcepts turnbuckles are produced with left- and right-hand threads with the left being conveniently marked for easy orientation. Infinity launch ‘Fam1ly’ App

Infinity has released their own app called ‘Fam1ly’ which offers 8 useful tools that will help you during your racing sessions.  These include Sensor tool, a tool with which you can measure the Camber and Caster angle of your car in the quickest way possible. Fuel calculator, it will tell you the runtime of your engine, a must-have tool for a racer. It will also let you save your runs and make an average calculation between them. Tyre consumption, this tool is used to calculate the lifetime of the tires for the IF18 and the IF15 cars. As with the Fuel calculator tool, you can save your runs and make an average calculation between 2 or more runs. Oil converter, ever been in a situation where you want a specific gradation of oil but you don’t have it available? This tool can tell you exactly how much oil to use to produce the desired oil density. Stopwatch: this is more than a normal stopwatch. When you save a run you can watch it in details, check the fastest lap, average lap, consistency, and much more… You can also race with the “Ghost” of that run. Gear ratio tool, this will help you to calculate the gear ratio of your car. Notes, a note taking tool to write down everything you need.
