JConcepts JCI Tucked 1979 Ford F-150 body

JConcepts has added another body shape to its crawler line-up with a Tucked version of the classic 1970’s Ford body.  The iconic body style shaped and revised by Ford, specifically for the 1979 model year, features rectangular headlights and a one-piece centre grille.  JConcepts meticulously set their sights on the 1:1 vehicle replicating the finest details of 1979.  The heavily chiseled, square body look with enlarged, flat-top wheel wells set this body off as a favourite.  The recessed body line extends down the entire side of the standard cab body and the included decal sheet details this section to appear like the chrome trim of yesteryear.  The wrap-around front windshield, recessed side windows are outlined to perfection while the body lines are all in place to show off that vintage look.  For crawling enthusiasts, the team from Groveland, Florida adapted the Tucked style to the front and rear sections of the vehicle. The vision for the project is for those wanting to replicate an original, but also be ready for competition equipped vehicles.  The recessed bed area allows plenty of space for a variety of mounting applications as well as storage or placement of other scale accessories (not included).  Large wheel well openings allow an assortment of tires ranging from 4.19” to 4.75” overall diameter tires.

JConcepts Pioneer 2WD Buggy Wheel

While no one can reinvent the wheel, JConcepts attended the 2024 Florida Carpet Championship at Beachline Raceway with a fresh new wheel called the Pioneer that carry a hint of inspiration from the past.  Created for the 2WD buggy class they boast unique features and aesthetics previously unseen with their inspiration coming from a 1989 Masami Hirosaka replica Jason Ruona envisioned recreating an iconic variation.  The pop-out panels of the Pioneer wheels introduce a fresh look while maintaining the correct offset and mounting characteristics.  Distinctive outer ribs fall between the sectional panels, forming a radial ring around the wheel nut area.  These ribs connect the four screw locations, representing adaptors reminiscent of the golden age of RC racing.  The Pioneer wheels are designed for both show and performance; racers looking for a fresh appearance, high-end performance, and a range of colour options will turn to these wheels in 2025.  The dimensions of the wheels match the IFMAR World Championship-winning Mono wheels, featuring an industry-standard offset and durable construction.  Reinforced inner ribs and a robust 12mm hex area complete this design.  Each 4-pack of wheels includes decorative screws and will be available in popular colours, including bright white and fluorescent yellow.  Additionally, JConcepts will introduce retro pink and stealth black colours as extra options.
