JConcepts Pioneer 2WD Buggy Wheel

While no one can reinvent the wheel, JConcepts attended the 2024 Florida Carpet Championship at Beachline Raceway with a fresh new wheel called the Pioneer that carry a hint of inspiration from the past.  Created for the 2WD buggy class they boast unique features and aesthetics previously unseen with their inspiration coming from a 1989 Masami Hirosaka replica Jason Ruona envisioned recreating an iconic variation.  The pop-out panels of the Pioneer wheels introduce a fresh look while maintaining the correct offset and mounting characteristics.  Distinctive outer ribs fall between the sectional panels, forming a radial ring around the wheel nut area.  These ribs connect the four screw locations, representing adaptors reminiscent of the golden age of RC racing.  The Pioneer wheels are designed for both show and performance; racers looking for a fresh appearance, high-end performance, and a range of colour options will turn to these wheels in 2025.  The dimensions of the wheels match the IFMAR World Championship-winning Mono wheels, featuring an industry-standard offset and durable construction.  Reinforced inner ribs and a robust 12mm hex area complete this design.  Each 4-pack of wheels includes decorative screws and will be available in popular colours, including bright white and fluorescent yellow.  Additionally, JConcepts will introduce retro pink and stealth black colours as extra options.

Florida Carpet C/ship wins for Champlin & Orlowski

The 2024 JConcepts Florida Carpet Championship at Beachline Raceway in Orlando saw wins for Schumacher pairing Michal Orlowski and Broc Champlin, with 2WD winner Champlin also crowned overall Champion of the annual event & denying his team-mate a 3-in-row.  In 2WD Mod Buggy qualifying it was Champlin who secured the TQ topping 3 of the 4 rounds with Q4 winner Bruno Coelho putting his Xray 2nd ahead of Orlowski and Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin.  In 4WD, three TQ runs gave Orlowski the overall top spot with Coelho again securing P2 having set the pace in Q3 with his Xray team-mate Tom Rinderknecht P3 from Champlin and Norway’s Daniel Kobbevik.  In the finals, A1 of 2WD would see Orlowski get the win from Champlin but the American capitalised on his TQ in A2 & 3 to win both and take the overall ahead of Orlowski with Coelho completing the podium.  In 4WD, A1 saw 2023 winner Coelho take a late win but Orlowski made amends in the next two encounters to take the overall with Champlin runner up and Coelho again filling the final step on the podium.  With the Schumacher drivers both tied on points, a thrilling Super Pole was held to break the tie, which Champlin claimed to become the overall Modified Champion of the Florida Carpet Championship.
