Long-time Reedy/Team Associated driver Ryan Maifield has chosen Reedy Sonic motors for 2012 and beyond. The precision power band of the Sonic is a huge advantage in off-road where one of the keys to winning is confidence in power delivery. Expect Ryan to take full advantage of his Sonic motors at the CRCRC Midwest Winter Championships in Columbus, OH this weekend.

HongNor X3 Sabre titanium turnbuckles

HongNor has released more new optional parts for the X3-Sabre. This set includes 7 titanium turnbuckles including 3x36mm, 4x46mm and 5x35mm and also includes a cross wrench as shown in the photo. This set of titanium turnbuckles can also be purchased separately as option parts for other cars.

Eric Dankel joins Capricorn factory team

Italian company Capricorn have signed top German international racer Eric Dankel to their factory team. The former Xray driver will run the company’s Lab-C02 and Lab-C801 cars at both National and international events throughout 2012 including the 1/8th and 1/10th Euros in Portugal and Italy as well as the 1/10th Worlds in Thailand in November.

Venom LiFe RX packs

More new items from Venom who introduce their new LiFe-Power line of LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) receiver batteries. These LiFe batteries offer many advantages over their Lipo counterparts including 4X the useable cycles (1000+ cycles), no low voltage cutoff and higher charge rates. As a receiver battery, there is no need for a regulator due to the lower nominal voltage compared to a Lipo. Venom is offering two new packs one in a flat and the other a hump configuration suitable for most 1/10th and 1/8th scale fuel power cars, trucks or truggies. All Venom batteries come with the Venom Lifetime Battery Replacement Plan.

Much More Impact battery series

Much More Racing have introduced their newly designed Impact battery series. Featuring a re-designed flat hard casing, increased run time and less resistance they are available in 3 new versions. First up is the 6800mAh 7.4V 70C stick pack which has maximum power and run time. Next up is a 4400mAh 7.4V 50C Shorty pack with its super compact & lightweight design allows you to play with the weight distribution of you car. Finally there is a 50C 6400mAh 3.7V 70C for 1/12 scale racing and other classes that require 1S packs.

Novak Premium Balistic spec motors & options

Novak have announced three new Premium Ballistic spec brushless motors in 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T. These exciting new motors feature all of Novak’s most sought after racing components such as the red wire stator and the vented end bells with ceramic bearings, these motors hold nothing back. Novak also release the Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) Tuning Rotor which was developed to withstand extremely high temperatures. Novak developed this rotor to retain its core magnet strength over the course of the run so that your motor runs consistently and will not suffer from fade. Braking and throttle response is also more consistent. Finally there is premium Ballistic 540 Red Wire stators which are compatible with Novak’s Ballistic 540-size motors, and are wound exclusively at the Novak factory in Irvine, California by highly trained motor technicians. Three winds are available, 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T.

Venom Red Edition 540 sensored race motors

Venom have released their Red Edition 540 sensored race motors created to suit most on-road and off-road vehicles. These motors are available in both standard spec motors (10.5, 13.5, and 17.5 turn), as well as modified spec motors (5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, and 9.5 turn). Each Red Edition 540 motor is made of the highest quality materials and has a ball bearing supported, precision balanced, Nickel-plated sintered Neodymium rotor for smooth operation. The adjustable end bell has easily identifiable timing marks for optimal tuning. Replacement sensor boards and rotors are also available.

Renaud Savoya signs to Sweep Racing

Sweep Racing have signed 3 time European Champion Renaud Savoya. The French factory Xray driver, who previously raced for Pro-Line, had the following to say about the deal:
