Isaacs takes ROAR Electric On Road Paved Nationals

Sam Isaacs is the 2022 ROAR Electric On Road Paved National Champion. This year’s event took place at Valkaria RC Raceway in Malabar, Florida, with 125 entries over the classes. Four rounds of Modified qualifying saw Isaacs’ Awesomatix go fastest in 3 with the fastest time from Q3 giving him the TQ ahead of the Xray of Mike Gee who topped the final qualifier. Serpent’s Felix Law would line up third on the grid. In the finals, Isaacs took A1 as the Top 3 remained static and taking another win in A2, this time over Xray’s Chris Adams, it was yet another National title for Isaacs. With fifth place qualifier Adams winning A3 he would finish Runner-up with Gee completing the podium. Gee would take the title in the 17.5 class, with Dave Vera and Cory Parsons joining him on the podium.

1up Racing Forged Carbon Fibre Pit Board

1up Racing has released this Forged Carbon Fibre Pit Board. At 390mm x 490mm it is the perfect size to work on just about everything with Ryan Cavalieri loving it for his 1:8 Buggies and Truggies. It’s perfect for Joe Pillars’ 1:10 Buggies and Randy Caster’s Touring Cars. At 5mm thick the Forged Carbon Fibre Pit Board is rigid and won’t sag or conform to uneven surfaces even with heavy cars. It features rounded corners and is finished with chamfers on top & bottom so there are no sharp edges and is topped off with a bright white 1up logo. Forged Carbon Fibre sheets typically have a lot of surface variations but 1up were able to identify the source of the issue and worked hard with their carbon fibre professionals to make 1up Pit Boards as flat as possible. Our production boards are the result of over a year and a half of testing multiple samples and while the surface may still show some variations, they are small and won’t affect getting a properly set up car. Sweep Land Cruiser belted tyre

Sweep has released the Land Crusher belted tyre for ARRMA or Traxxas 1:8 offroad trucks. Made with off-road compound for all terrain speed running even on the asphalt or parking lot it features a strong inner belting prevent the tires expanding at high speed. The tyres come with 1/2 wide off-set wheels with black , blue , red , silver colour wheels available.

Rêve D’s has announced that their first original RWD drift car kit “RDX” will finally will be released at the end of November. The “RDX”, which achieves consistently high control performance and powerful driving regardless of skill, road surface conditions, or course layout, uses lightweight and highly rigid graphite composite resin parts that are both easy to assemble and difficult to break. By making the arms and tie rods fixed, even users who are making RC cars for the first time can completely reproduce the optimum alignment for drift driving just by assembling according to the instruction manual without any difficult adjustments. Ielasi Tuned add Palsson to team for 2023

Ielasi Tuned, the engine brand of former World Champion Daniele Ielasi, has announced fast Swedish female racer Jessica Palsson will join its team for 2023. The 2022 Nordic Offroad Champion will use the DIRT R engine from the Italian company in her HB Racing D819RS as part of 2023 race plans. Commenting on the announcement Palsson said, ‘I wanted to test something new and I had been looking for new engine at Euros and Worlds. The engine that has caught my eyes was precisely Ielasi Tuned. Lots of power, good run time. We started run in my first engine and it looks good! I really looking forward not only to use DIRT R but also to work with family Ielasi.’

Minidrom Ettlingen seeks support to prevent closure of famed track

A favourite among some of the best racers in the World, German track Minidrom Ettlingen is looking for the support of the RC community as plans for a Biogas Plant look set to see the track closed by 2024. The club has been operating for 40-years and the track has attracted some of the best racers from around the global to the city of almost 40,000 through events such as IFMAR World Championships, EFRA European Championships, Euro Nitro Series and the ETS. Built on land owned by the city, the ground has been earmarked as the site for the new 50,000 ton organic waste fermentation plant. The club is looking to highlight the value of the track to local tourism in terms of hotels, restaurants and suppliers and on a wider level how vital the track & its strong club are for R/C racing in Germany and also Europe. Red RC have been guests of the club for many races there over the years. The racing has always been entertaining and the club have always looked after us well. We also love the banking around the track which makes for great spectating. Already World Champions Dominic Greiner, Simon Kurzbuch and Robert Pietsch, among others, have got behind supporting the club.

BrunoRC BR1-X4 servo gets 4xWorld Champion restyle

To celebrate the huge success of the servo at the recent ISTC World Championships in Italy, including Bruno Coelho’s successful title defence, BrunoRC has given its BR1-X4 servo a restyle. Launched 1 year ago to coincide with the release of Xray’s new X4 platform, the servo, which is specifically developed to directly fit the X4, statistically was one of the most used servos during the World Championship, being the top choice 16% of the time.
