Adrian Bernsten wins 4th consecutive Norwegian Nationals

The 2011 Norwegian Electric touring Championship was held in Spydeberg recently, a venue that has played host to a lot of races during this indoor season and Adrian Berntsen sent us this report. For a long time before this event, it looked liked it wouldn’t be any Norwegian championship for the 1:10 Touring Car classes since there was only 10 drivers signed up for the race in each, while the Norwegian Federation rule was a minimum of 15 drivers signing up to make it a official Norwegian Championship. Luckily for both 1:10 Modified class and 1:10 Stock class, the Norwegian Federation allowed a minimum of 10 drivers to still make it an official Norwegian Championship. In the 1/12th scale class this was no problem at all, as approximately 30 drivers signed up, including three Swedish drivers who made their way across the border. This was because they were extremely satisfied with the arrangement of the Nordic Championship earlier this season.

FTW Night Fox XL body shell

FTW Racing Components have introduced the Night Fox XL body shell, an extended version of its revolutionary Night Fox body shell designed to fit the Team Associated B4.1 when equipped with the longer T4.1 chassis. The Night Fox XL is the first production body shell designed to fit this chassis configuration. Night Fox XL is packaged with two wings, window masks, and a decal sheet.

Nordic EP offroad Championships – Announcement

The Nordic Championships for electric offroad will take place this year on the newly resurfaced Astroturf track in Odense, Denmark. Taking place from the 2nd to the 5th of June, the race is of course open to both 2wd and 4wd and drivers wishing to attend must have a national license. Run to EFRA rules, the race uses a controlled tire, Schumacher mini-pin yellow for both front and rear in 4wd and only the rear in 2wd. This new generation of springs is made with a special steel that does not lose tension even after long use, helping to keep the clutch consistent for the length of a race, avoiding any loss of torque. Schumacher BTCC series Rd2 report

The second round of the hugely popular Schumacher BTCC series took place over the weekend with a massive entry of 157 drivers, possibly a BTCC record. The newly resurfaced West London track was the venue and with the weather being very kind to us again in the UK it was a cracking weekends racing. The battle at the top in Modified class saw Olly Jefferies, and Schumacher’s Chris Grainger and Matt White going at it hard all weekend with Alan Bickerstaff over from Northern Ireland for the weekend also in the mix. Olly Took the TQ from Matt, who was having an excellent day with Chris in third. With some excellent finals and not much luck for Chris, Olly took the win from Matt and Alan. Chris has now hopefully got his bad luck out of the way before the BRCA National in 2 weeks’ time having dominated all the races so far this season.

Norwegian 1/10th offroad EFRA GP – Announcement

Norwegian club Radøy RC would like to welcome all racers to attend the 2011 Efra GP for 1/10 offroad on their track from the 24th to the 26th of June. The track is Marås Raceway and it is located just 50 minutes from Bergen city. The race is of course open to 2wd and 4wd buggies and all drivers need to hold a paid national license for 2011, with the race run according to the EFRA rulebook 2011. It is a 3m wide astroturf track and the rear tires are controlled, which will be the Schumacher Minispike 2, while the front tires are open in both classes. Xray RX8 brass chassis balancing weights

More precision-machined brass chassis balancing weights from Xray, this time designed for their RX8 chassis. Mounted in the front and rear weight integration holes, they come marked with the weight value for easy identification. The front 60g weight can be mounted either fixed or flexible to avoid undesired stiffening effect and you can also add an additional 20g to top of this weight or the other graphite insert. At the rear there is a 20g and 40g weight, only one of which can be mounted at a time.

Pro-Line Revolver 2.0 pre mounts & M4 compound update

Pro-Line have introduced lots of new tire updates across the different classes. First up is the Revolver 2.0 M3 off road buggy tire which will now be available pre mounted on V2 white wheels. For the truggy class, the Caliber VTR 4.0″ and Hole Shot VTR 4.0″ 1/8th truck tires will be made available in their new M4 super soft compound. The 1/10th truck class 2.2″ rear tires will also get the same treatment, with the Hole Shot T, Caliber and Suburbs T also now being made available in the M4 compound.
