Akula Racing A8 Evo option parts

Akula Racing A8 Evo option parts

Akula Racing have announced a range of carbon fibre option parts for the Agama A8 Evo. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the range comprises front and rear shock towers and a centre diff brace. These have been through extensive performance and durability testing, with the final production parts being run at Neo11 with no reported breakages. The front and rear shock towers are made from 5mm thick carbon fibre. Lighter than the standard towers helping to lower the centre of gravity, the standard geometry for the shock and camber link locations is retained with additional lower shock and camber link locations added. These give more tuning options and are especially suitable for low traction tracks where they should provide grip than the standard locations. The centre diff brace is made from 3mm carbon fibre, saving weight over the standard part and increasing the stiffness of the centre diff and brake assembly. The first batch of these parts is in stock now, and as a special introductory offer they are offering free standard shipping to all Red RC readers. Just quote discount code RED1 when ordering.

JConcepts truck Subclutures & Elevated truck wheels

JConcepts truck Subclutures & Elevated truck wheels

Subcultures, the popular three tier design from JConcepts, are the latest in 1/8th truck tire development. The elevated, angular, bead configuration provides elements that combine light weight with performance. In general, 1/8th truck tires are heavy and minimizing rubber and insert material was the focus. By utilizing the tire sidewall as the mounting bead, the Elevated design eliminated the need for excess rubber and insert material, dropping weight, while simplifying the mounting / gluing contact patch and location. Designed for maximum performance when new or used as the design allows even wear all the way down to the tire body. Subcultures, in green compound, while in new condition excel on hard slick surfaces that are either dry, wet or when traction is hard to come-by. Worn Subcultures on the second or third tier of lugs, excel on surfaces where a groove has formed with minimal dust buildup. At the heart of the revolutionary tire bead for 1/8th truck racing is the Elevated 1/8th truck wheel. Utilizing the tire sidewall as the mounting bead, the Elevated wheel design eliminated the need for excess rubber and insert material, dropping overall weight. Available in bright white and fluorescent yellow the Elevated bead wheel is manufactured in a durable material which is able to withstand the heavy rigors of 1/8th truck racing.

JConcepts MBX-6 Eco Punisher body & Punisher wing

JConcepts MBX-6 Eco Punisher body & Punisher wing

The Punisher body by JConcepts for the Mugen MBX-6 Eco is now available. The slight cab-forward treatment is amongst the most aggressive in class giving the Punisher top notch performance. Blended wing / body design gives additional downforce to the side-pods and windshield which increases driveability, corner speed and jump control. The rear base of the cab area represents the latest offering for 1/8th E-buggy racing featuring a super low profile design for increased air flow, escape and body placement and the lower rear deck area provides less directional loading at the rear of the vehicle for quick rotation in the tightest corners. JConcepts have also released their new Punisher wing, which we first saw at the World Championships in Pattaya last year. The wing features a flat deck, high-wicker design giving increased rear downforce. This trend busting design includes 4 different interchangeable side-dams for increased tuning options and vehicle compatibility, while extensive ribbing and support create additional flow channels underneath the deck surface with a larger outer rib closest to the side-dam. The underside of the deck also comes with a raised grid area which makes aligning to different model vehicles easier.
