The new Protek R/C Prodigy 610 Duo features two independent channels, each capable of supplying 200W and monitoring the battery’s condition with its own internal balance port and temperature sensor port so you can charge your batteries quickly and safely. A 5V, 1000mA USB port allows you to charge any USB device conveniently at your work space, while the PC Link port gives you the option to monitor and log overall pack voltage, temperature, current and total capacity. Additionally, an intuitive touch-sensitive navigation panel will allow you to easily make your way through the charger menus without worrying about buttons malfunctioning due to debris, and the blue backlit LCD display with white characters offers clear visibility in any environment. The Prodigy 610 differs in that it only features one channel capable of supplying 200W, which apart from the form of the device itself, is essentially the same charger.

Dennis Fadtke signs for Thunder Tiger Europe

Thunder Tiger Europe have signed Polish National Champion Dennis Fadtke to race their line of Associated electric cars. The German driver, who raced a Tamiya in the past will run the TC6 touring car internationally as well as running the B4.1, B44.1 and RC12RS at selected events. Dennis is looking forward to working together with TTE and wanted to give special thanks to Niko Triandafilidis for his great support in previous years.

CRCRC SCT Shootout report

Last Saturday was the first CRCRC SCT Shootout and included a kids 12 and under class, sportsman 2wd SCT (17.5 motor or standard RTR brushed motor), 2wd Open, and 4×4 Open SCT classes. The race had 89 SCT entries including four heats of 2wd Open SCT, three heats of 4×4 SCT, three heats of sportsman 2wd SCT, and two heats of kids 12 and under. The format was 3 qualifying rounds (rocket round) with 10 minute A-mains and a single bump up from each of the lower mains. The track was laid down fresh a week before the race so traction was fairly high.

Made from black anodized lightweight aluminium with Xceed logo laser-engraved, the large holes in the top-deck help with shock-absorber assembly. Foam padding on the top surface prevent the car from slipping, while strengthening ribs on the inside double up as a quick tool-holder too.

Yeah Racing electric motor heatsinks

New from Yeah Racing is their line of ultra lightweight 540 type electric motor heatsinks with cooling fans. The first is their high air flow twin fan heat sink with twin Tornado high speed fans. A second 2 fan setup is their super light twin fan heat sink with dual cooling fans. Two other similar heatsinks have been configured with single cooling fans with Type A placing the fan directly over the body of the motor, while Type B has the fan offset to cool the end of the motor. All are available in anodised black or blue.

Genius FR 1/5th Formula one car

The French importers of the Italian made Genius range of 1/5th scale cars was in contact to tell us about the new Genius FR Formula one car. Made using the best materials, all aluminium parts are made in ergal, it is the first 1/5 F1 designed with real front wing and rear diffuser such as those seen on a real car. Designed to be easy to maintain, you can quickly dismantle the rear differential, change the gear transmission and adjust the shocks. The suspension arms feature a uniball which through the use of plates tightened between the ball and arm allow for easy adjustment of the front and rear camber as well as rear toe. The car is also very lightweight for this class, weighing in at only 11kg.

Billy Fischer confirmed at Team Durango

Billy Fischer confirmed at Team Durango

Confirming what everyone already knew, Billy Fischer has joined Team Durango to race the full suite of electric and nitro off-roaders. Billy has an impressive race record since he started hitting the track in 1998, a highlight being his 5th place qualification at the 2010 1/8th buggy World Championships in Pattaya last November. Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, Billy will boost the ranks of Durango’s already impressive team of drivers.
