Mikimodel MS1.0 ‘Special Parts’ upper decks

Adding to its ‘Special Parts’ line, Italian Yokomo distributor Mikimodel has released a number of new upper decks for the Japanese manufacturer’s MS1.0 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  Following extensive testing they focused their attention on the choice of material and the millimetre measurements of the upper decks.  This lead to the production of the 1.5 Fibregrass upper decks in the same shape as the originals which can be used in extreme heat conditions and medium-high grip giving greater smoothness to the model.  They have also produced a series in carbon equal to the originals in shape changing the type of carbon weave and changing the thickness from 2.00 to 1.6 mm.  These are also used to give the chassis more flexibility.  Lastly they created an upper deck that can be used both front and rear to give greater traction with a particular 2mm shape called ‘Upper Deck ZZ’.  This is suggested for use when you want to increase the traction, making the car easier to drive if used at the front and with greater traction if used at the rear.”
