Team Losi 22 1:10 Electric 2WD Racing buggy

Team Losi have introduced the all-new “22” 1:10 Electric 2WD Racing buggy which they claim redefines the norm and raises the standard that all 1:10 electric off road racing buggies will be marked by. For the past few months, the TLR team have quietly been gathering data, testing prototypes and accruing information about the 1:10 off-road global race scene. The 22 is the result of many months of hard work and countless hours and thousands of laps of testing. Testing in the hot sunny climate of Southern California and the wet and often uncompromising weather of the UK, the TLR design team have encouraged and supported input from our global team drivers in the quest to deliver the most complete competition buggy in the world.

Mike Haynes wins Cleveland Indoor Champs

Mike Haynes wins Cleveland Indoor Champs

Sweep Racing USA’s very own Mike Haynes took the Mod Sedan win at the 31st annual Cleveland Indoor Champs. After qualifying in third place on mains day Mike was in prime spot to start as Paul Lemieux and Keven Herbert had been battling it out during qualifying. They continued in the finals where they left off and at about the 2 minute mark they tangled which let Mike take the lead. Mike was able to defend the lead for 4 full minutes under hard pressure from Keven Herbert and while Keven seemed to have the faster car Mike clearly was a man on a mission closing the door hard many times on Keven. Mike was also on the podium in 2 other highly contested classes with 2nd in Superstock sedan and 2nd in 13.5 12th.

Drake does doubles at Kyosho Fall Classic

Drake does doubles at Kyosho Fall Classic

Racing in Southern California is always very competitive and it was no different at last weekends Kyosho Fall Classic hosted by Revelations Raceway.  The event had over 120 entries.  Adam Drake and newly crowned 1/8th Buggy World Champion Cody King were on hand and battled in the 1/8th buggy class.  Adam Drake driving his Novarossi powered Team Losi Racing 8ight 2.0 and 8ight T 2.0 was in top form all weekend and TQ’ed every round in both classes.  In the 1/8th truck class Drake lead from start to finish and took home the victory by two laps in the 30 minute final. The final event of the weekend in the 1/8th buggy class, Drake got a clean start and Cody made a few mistakes early in the final which allowed Drake to pull away early.  Cody continued to push hard during the final, but Drake’s pace and consistency paid of and Drake won the 30 minute final by just over one lap.
