Donathen RC Discharge Bank Upgrade Box

Coming from RC wiring and cables specialists Donathen RC is their new Discharge Bank Upgrade Box. This is an upgrade box for your standard discharge bank and is designed to be screwed into your discharge bank and prevent/beautify a 200+ degree ugly thing from being easily touched. It features a honeycomb pattern for maximum airflow, while keeping your fingers from touching a very hot discharge bank. Available in your choice of colours, it fits all style double sided fan discharge banks with rubber feet to prevent it from skidding around. With no soldering necessary, it fits 4mm, xt60, and xt90 connector types.

EXO Design Ultima Front Shock towers & RC10 bumper

Retro conversion kit producer EXO Design has made some recent additions to its range with the release of new front shock towers for the Kyosho Ultima and a nylon front bumper for Team Associated’s RC10 Classic. The reinforced front shock towers are made from 3.5mm carbon fibre and are available for both the original Ultima shocks as well as for those running big bore shocks on the buggy. They feature extra mounting positions for fine tunings of the suspension set-up. EXO Design are keen to highlight the bumper for the RC10 is not 3D print but made from nylon material.

T-Works RC10B7 Alu & Brass front bulkheads

T-Works has released aluminium and brass front bulkhead options for the Team Associated RC10B7 1:10 2WD Buggy. Available in 0 degree and +/- 2.5 degree variants, the machined aluminium bulkheads are the same as the original while the brass versions weigh a heavier 26grams and 27grams respectively for the 0 degree and +/- 2.5 degree options. This allows you to fine tune the front end weight balance of the buggy depending the track conditions.

175RC RC10B7 Carbon Battery hold down system

New from 175RC is this Carbon Fibre battery hold down system for Team Associated’s RC10B7 1:10 2WD Buggy. This system features carbon straps that replace the stock plastic holders, and uses quick release urethane straps to keep your battery in place during hard cornering and landings. These straps provide a nice cushion for your battery to ride against, instead of hard plastic tabs wearing on the case, and causing your battery unnecessary stress. This system also comes with upgraded Ti-Look screws for that Factory Team look.

VP Pro 1:10 Buggy tyre inner sidewall adapters

Having previously released them for 1:8 Buggy, VP Pro has now released their Inner Sidewall Support Adapters for 1:10 Buggy tyres. Sold as a pack of 12-pieces, by adding the inner sidewall support adaptor which is glued into place, the sidewall becomes much stiffer helping to alleviate the issue of soft rubber flex too much in high grip conditions.

2024 Philippine Masters Chassis Focus Index

Last weekend Red RC made our third trip to Manila for the world class offroad event that is the Philippine Masters. Famed as being Asia’s biggest annual 1:8 Offroad race, the Circulo Verde track is renowned for its difficulty and 3D style build with this year’s 12 edition of the race using a new method to seal the surface. This resulted in minimal tyre wear even over the 1-hour Main final in which Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro recovered from an early flame out to take his fourth win in the capital city. The first time Sparko was officially represented at the race, a great driver by Ryan Pavidis netted the American runner-up spot. Great to see the legendary Atsushi Hara back racing at the the front end. It was great to once again do a chassis focus with him, Sworkz hooking him up for the event, and it great to see the former World Champion enjoying his racing so much once again. Attracting 205 entries from 16-nations, we got the chance to photograph buggies from 9 drivers representing 7 different manufacturers as well as the TQ & winning Sworks truggy of Bulgaria visitor Plamen Petrov we will have compiled into our latest Chassis Focus Index.
