Ultimate Racing expands Pro Tool range

Ultimate Racing have released 2 new tools expanding their range of Pro tools. The new 2,0x120mm hex ball driver and 7,0x100mm nut driver feature handles manufactured from 7075-T6 Suisse aluminium that ensures its durability, while being as light as possible. The tips are manufactured with special HSS steel that also ensures the tool durability.

Jörn Neumann wins 2009 German National title

Last weekend saw the 2nd round of the German 1:8th scale Nationals which were held in Osterhofen. Friday’s practice was cancelleddue to very heavy rain but the weather on Saturday was a little bit better with no more rain. After Qualifying it was Stefan Scheuenpflug who took the TQ spot. Sunday was finals day and the main event was over 40min and saw Daniel Reckward have some problems near the end allowing Stefan Scheuenpflug to take the win. Jörn Neumann finished 5th, but combined with the win in Round 1 of the series, it was enough for him to claim the overall German Title.

Dirk Wischnewski sets first pace at German Nats

Even on the first day of free practice for the German Championship 1/10 200mm nitro most of the 81 competitors have been out on the track, the paddock was fully crowded on day 2. Up to 14 drivers have been on the rostrum in each practice heat to get track time as much as possible. The weather was absolutely brilliant, warm and sunny. But the forecast has changed a bit and it looks like that rain can be expected to arrive early Friday afternoon at Tuerkheim in the south of Germany, the location of the 2009 German Nationals. Saturday, when six heats will be run, and the finals Sunday should be dry again but with temperatures only around 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.

PN Racing have released their S6 Multi Balance Charger. This DC charger has an idling current of approx 100mAh, with a max charge/discharge power of 80W & 8W. Able to work with NiCd, MiMH, LiIo, LiPo and LiFe cells, it has a chrge current range of 0.1 to 5A and a discharge current of 0.1 to 1A.

BRCA End of Season Finals

The annual end of season finals took place over the weekend at the excellent Kidderminster facility in the midlands. The event incorporates the British Regional Finals which include the best regional drivers in the country, except those who hold a F1 license, plus the Juniors and Veterans class. For the second year running Nathan Waters has won the regional title with his CAT SX, Nathan dominated the finals, winning all 3 legs of the A final at the challenging Kidderminster track. Colin May and Andrew Jones also placed their CAT’s in the A final.

Kyosho have sent us a sneak peak of their new carm, the DBX VE. With little information on the new car, the name seems to suggest it is an electric version of their 4wd 1/10th scale DBX buggies. More information will become available in the near future and it is expected to be released in November.

Mikael Fransson does double at Swedish Champs

Mikael Fransson does double at Swedish Champs

The Swedish Championship in 1:8 Track and 1:10 NT was held at the huge Örebro track last weekend. Around 40 drivers attended and it proved to be a very competitive race. In the 1:8 class Mikael Fransson showed great form with his Mugen MRX4X working absolutely perfect. He managed to take TQ around 5 seconds in front of local driver Stefan Andersson. In third place it was Marcus Lindner and in fourth it was Serpent driver Bengt Andersson. Alexander Hagberg made an interesting start in this class and finished fifth after qualifying.
