X-Factory X-6 and B4 front axles

X-Factory X-6 and B4 front axles

X Factory have announced new front axles to fit both the X-6 Squared and the RC10B4. B4s are sold with steel front trailing axles that secure the wheel with a nut. The nut protrudes from the front wheel and can catch on things. The new X Factory trailing front axles are hardened steel so they won’t break and secure the wheel with a button head screw. Made for X Factory by M.I.P., the new axles are completely drilled through the center so they each weigh just 1 gram more than the aluminum FT axle. The package contains two axles and four button head screws, X Factory’s axles are secured in the car with a screw instead of an E-clip, so each pack contains everything needed for both sides of the car.

Core RC UDC30 Universal digital charger

Schumacher have announced this new Core RC UDC30 Universal digital charger. Following on from the hugely successful UDC20 this is a rapid charger with high performance microprocessor and specialized operating software for multifunctional operation. The UDC30 employs an individual cell voltage balancer meaning that no external balancer is required and during the process of discharging, the UDC30 can monitor and balance each cell individually. Adaptable to various types of Lithium batteries, including LiPo, Li-ion and the new LiFe battery, it sports normal ‘Fast’ charge which reduces the duration of charging and also automatic ‘Store’ mode which can be used to store the battery if not in use for a long time to protect the life of the battery. Jilles Groskamp joins Team Shepherd

Jilles Groskamp joins Team Shepherd

Shepherd have announced that European Electric touring car driver Jilles Groskamp will use Shepherd Micro Racing cars for nitro racing, racing both classes, 1/10th scale and 1/8th scale. With his experience as a professional driver he will help the German company to improve their existing products and developing new products. Jilles had the following to say:

After looking to many teams and many people, Shepherd stood out as a small team which works really hard to improve things. They are still some kind of a “newcomer” in the nitro scene but the Velox V8 is already established all over the world. I could already test it and I was really impressed. Probably the V10 project will be even more fun for myself as I feel better with a 1/10 touring car. With all the fast improvements they can realize I can test a lot of different things and get ready for the big races. I’m really looking forward to work together with them and I hope my feedback helps in creating great products.
