2009 ROAR Region 4 Championships

Ocoee, Florida and Outtacontrol Raceway played host to the 2009 ROAR Region 4 Championships and JConcepts have the following report. Always an event that brings the best out in every driver within the state of Florida, the ROAR Regional’s displays the best of the best. With early wet weather conditions being a concern, the JConcepts team turned to the trusty combination of Crowbars in the buggy class and Cross Hairs in the 1/8th truck class, all in Soft Blue compound.

More new items from KM Racing who have released some handy new tools. First up are these shock shaft pliers, which help grab the shaft safely and securely without scratching the surface, allowing you to easily mount the plastic ball end. Suitable for various diameter shafts. The 2nd item is a simple to use clutch spring adjustment tool. Red anodised aluminium, it features a knurled oversized head for easy adjustment of the tightest nuts, with 2 pins used to grab the slots on the nut.

Mugen Seiki Small Carrying cases

More new items from Mugen who have released these 2 variations of their small carrying case. The outer case is made from a light grey, hard wearing material, which can be opened at one end and which sports the Mugen Seiki logo printed on the side. Inside the 370mm x 590mm x 355mm case you have the option of a 2 or 3 drawer configuration, with the 2 drawers obviously able to accept larger items. The drawers have been made from a corrugated plastic material that can be easily cleaned and sport a handle on the front and an additional hole on the other end to aid the removing of the drawer.

KM Racing V-One RRR Copper Battery tray

KM Racing have come out with some more parts for the Kyosho V-one RRR, with the release of this new battery tray. Made from copper, the tray brings weight to the lowest and most central point on the car, which not only helps increase chassis rigidity but also helps stop the car from traction rolling in high grip conditions. Machined with 2 grooves for tape to mount the battery, it sports the KM Racing logo engraved on the bottom.

Viktor Wilck dominates Norwegian Nationals

Viktor Wilck dominates Norwegian Nationals

The Norwegian Nationals were run last weekend at the Lorenskog Modellbiklubb track close to Oslo. International Tamiya driver Viktor Wilck was present, following his impressive performance at the off road Euros in Spain, and he took the top spot after qualifying for the Modified class. In the finals Viktor was untouchable and won all 3 legs of the A-main to take the win from Xray driver Adrian Bernsten in 2nd and Hot Bodies driver Tomy Svaasand in 3rd.

CSO Racing 733 & V-One RRR chassis plates

CSO Racing products have released 2 new chassis plates for both the Serpent 733 (above) and the Kyosho V-One RRR Evo 2 WC. Both chassis’ have been CNC machined from 3.1mm thick 7075 T6 aluminium and then hard coated for a stronger and longer lasting finish.

Mugen MBX-6 M-Spec Pre built buggy

Mugen Seiki Europe have introduced the full factory built MBX-6 M-Spec 1/8th scale buggy. Built to Mugen’s specifications, this car is great for both seasoned racers as well as beginners and comes with all the differential and shock oils, shock springs, ride height, camber and caster adjustment straight from the Mugen race team. The car will become available soon and will just be the rolling chassis minus engine, tires, radio and electronics.
